Chapter 25**

Silently she followed him through the parts of his pack that had no inhabitants and was only surrounded by green trees. She stopped to catch her breath when she felt his hand on her wrist pulling her closer to him,
"we need to walk faster" he grumbled.

She gave him an "are you serious look" pulled her hand out of his then crossed her arms across her chest. "Arsehole!" she huffed.

He pulled her hand back to his chest and held on to her wrist tightly once again "Maybe if you actually walked I wouldn't feel the need to drag you along like a fucking ragdoll" he teased.

Lara stood her ground not moving an inch. Glaring daggers at him.

A groan escaped Redric's lips. "I'm sorry" he tried hiding the mocking tone underneath his voice but she still heard it, though chose not to acknowledge it.

"You're lucky you're my mate" she growled before walking beside him

"You little shit, a graveyard? Really Red!, that's your idea of somewhere special to have our date, there is something psychologically wrong with you?, all this fuss for a graveyard" Lara scowled. When she saw the gate written bloodlust cemetery.

Redric rolled his eyes "I brought you here because it is peaceful, this is a resting place..."

"Peaceful my ass" Lara snorted incredulously.

"Just close your damn eyes, I'll carry you the rest of the way" He growled impatiently.

"What I should have closed were my legs, do you have any idea how sore I am thanks to you and you Neanderthal sex skills, my vagina hurts" she snarled glaring at him, "If I had known that I would be hurting like this I would have never let you have you way."

Redric snorted, "I am sorry" not looking sorry at all "I didn't know you were a virgin" then snickered "never mind it's not like that would have stopped me from screwing you"

Lara blanched, appalled by Redric's crudeness, then growled at him, "you absolute prick!" she yelled poking his chest aggressively.

"Jesus, quit doing that, all that screaming and aimless poking is making you look like a bat, now stop wasting both our time" He scooped her into his arms then glared at her "close those damn eyes Lara, before I gauge them, it's not going to be much of a surprise if you have your eyes open .''

Before her were beautiful paper lanterns on each headstone and ahead of them was the perfect view of the ocean, above them the moon shining brightly. Lara was left speechless.

"I will burn you with these freaking lanterns if you don't say something!" Redric hissed snapping her back to reality.

She walked towards him with a dazed expression on her face. Her eyes never leaving his, she stared at him awhile long before finally whispering "It's so beautiful" her eyes shifting to the scenery around them. "In a goth kinda way that is" she added while smiling at him.

His tensed face relaxed at her expression and statement.

Seeing and feeling traces of love behind her touches felt unreal and real at the same time to Redric . She was his and he was going to make sure it said that way.

He enjoyed watching her shiver every time he ran his fingers down her neck. With her beautiful face facing him he couldn't help but lean in for a kiss and that's when she shoved him away. His chest tightened and a growl escaped his lips at the thought of her rejecting him. He closed his eyes to shut her face away from him so as to lessen the pang of rejection he was feeling.

"Red!" Lara suddenly gasped and Redric eyes jolted open to find her clutching her chest like she was in pain. Gasping for air as if she was drowning, with each gasp she took she lost her balance, staggered back and tripped on a loose vine, collapsing on the ground. She coiled herself into a fetal position.

"I swear if that freaking witch of a goddess is doing something to you I. ..." Redric's rant was interrupted by Lara's piercing scream. "Don't you dare die on me, where does it hurt? Talk to me" He growled his hands roaming around her body searching for any wounds or cuts.

"Don't touch me!" Lara growled scurrying away from him. She thought she saw a pained look on his face before he masked it with an angry scowl.

She had hurt him. She did not mean to, his touch only seemed to intensify her pain and pushing him away was her first instinct. Lara swallowed the guilt she felt. She would make it up to him later she promised herself.

"Aside from my vagina" Lara joked trying to lighten his mood maybe that would take his mind off the hurt she had just caused him but his scowl told her it wasn't working, "its my chest it hurts I feel like it's being ripped apart" She finally answered honestly.

"FUCK, I know what's happening" Redric spoke. Suddenly alert.

"Well hurry up an enlighten me oh wise one" Lara hissed when the pain she was feeling intensified.

"Don't talk to me like that" Redric snarled .

"Am sorry" Lara apologized. It was not fair the so called heartless alpha had gone out of his way to give her proper date, creepy but still a date and here she was being rude, "am sorry" she said again. The pain finally subsided but she still felt weak.

"It's okay" Redric dismissed "The pain you are experiencing only happens when you loose your bond with your alpha, I've read about it during my research"

"You read?" Lara asked shocked.

He rolled his eyes irritatingly "No I just sit around and waste my time staring at books"

"Wait what did you just say?" She frowned when she remembered what he had just said a while ago.

What did he mean Her mind went into panic mode.

Redric mumbled a few incoherent words Lara could not understand before responding "I waste my time staring at books?"

"No, before that" Lara dismissed with her hands.

Redric sighed in frustration, running a hand through his hair before responding "I said the pain you are experiencing only happens when the bond between an alpha and a pack member breaks"

"Shit, something has probably happened alright and to my father I think, I need to get back home right now Redric!" Lara spoke hysterically.

He just stood there with both hands in his jeans. Staring at her but not uttering a word.

"Why the hell are you just standing there? help me up" Lara snarled.

"I'm not your fucking yoyo Lara, first you tell me not touch you now you want me to touch you" He growled before squatting next to her...."But if you kiss me I'll help you up."

She gave him a murderous look before pulling his face towards hers, then kissed him like she had never before.
