Redric

Patience a simple and very necessary emotion I completely lacked but could use right now as I sat across my mate glaring at her in intimidation seeing as she was the source of all my current frustrations.

I was royally pissed, my wolf blocked me out of his entire conversation with her and she was not being very forthcoming either. So I had locked us in my room for what now was three days, "really Ava how long are you going to play the mute card?" I snarled.

She stared at me and sighed, "fine I'll talk, Dark and I had an understanding which ended in me and him agreeing on a fresh start that's all."

Traitor I snarled at my wolf. He rolled his eyes and ignored me.

"Look I am willing to have a fresh start with you too if you let me, after all we are mates and I would rather not spend the rest of our lives hiding things from you, If you let my sister and best friend go I'll answer all your questions I'll even reveal a secret of mine that I have never shared with anyone before." She spoke kindly.

I thought about it, was it really worth losing my mate just to acquire a kingdom when I was already a king in my own right even without the kingdom in question after all I was the apex wolf, the alpha of all alphas.

"You have to play your part Redric, work with me here, I am trying to give us a fresh start" she grumbled in annoyance.

"Fine" I snarled.

She smiled at me, so warmly and appreciatively "thank you Red."

"I am trusting you with this" she spoke hesitantly then got on her knees and started shifting.

She was beautiful, her wolf was beautiful, her entire being looked like she was made of crystal glass, her fur reflected like strands of blade, what fascinated me the most though were her eyes, they had a silver ring around them that were so enchanting, my mate was not just any normal wolf.

"You're the crystal wolf?."
I asked, proud and shocked to find out I had such a powerful mate.

She nodded before shifting back into her human form.

"My father is a descendant of the silver wolf, so I have the silver wolf gene in me though it's dormant" She spoke meekly.

It was all shocking, my mate was  the crystal wolf albeit I had intended to make the alpha queen my mate just to find out my mate was stronger than her in every sense of the word. The puzzling question was why I had a mate in the first place I knew aside from my grandfather no dark/Apex wolf had ever had a mate.

The moon goddess wouldn't go back on her own word and bless us with a mate so how was she my mate and how was she even the crystal wolf?.

However it came to be didn't matter she was here and together we would make the moon goddess pay. For the first time ever I had a genuine smile plastered on my face.

She gave me her hand for a handshake, "Hi, I am Lara Leigh-Ann Moore eldest daughter of alpha king David Moore."

You're Lara Moore?"
I know it's a stupid question to ask considering she had just told me who she was, but I had barely recovered from the shock of finding out she was the crystal wolf just to receive another one from her revealing she was the future alpha queen.
She was about to respond when a knock was heard on the door.

"Redric get out man you've got guests, that prick Jensen and the grouch England are here" the voice outside spoke.

"Stupid shadow alphas"
I muttered under my breath. Lara stared at me confused. "I'll tell you all about them when we find time to continue our suddenly interrupted conversation, come along beautiful the sooner I deal with them better."
