The search for the fake alpha Braille bore no fruit he had simply vanished, and the more time passed without him being located the more feral Redric became, snapping at everyone and everything that he came into contact with.

Barely recognisable to anyone who knew him, Redric had completely shut everyone out his mate included. No one else was allowed to be in his presence except for Jasper and Jasper wouldn't have it any other way.
Frankly he was enjoying all the attention he was getting from Redric.

"Do not for even a second think that you matter to me, who are you to even matter to me" Redric had growled at his mate earlier when she had gone to him to clear up the rumours concerning the current situation of their relationship.

Jasper paced around his empty room recalling the conversation he had walked into earlier when he had gone to check on Redric .

He suddenly stopped and walked towards his window his attention caught by the sudden noise outside.

Despite it raining outside the stupid dimwit Lara apparently thought it would be a good idea to choose that precise moment to challenge Redric . It seemed their fight had escalated since morning.

A dull pang of hatred engulfed him when he saw her standing there the centre of attention. It reminded him of all the reasons he had to hate her.

The rest of the pack had surrounded them not sure whether to interfere or not.

"You listen here you absolute pain in my ass, I don't know what crawled up your ass but believe that I will beat some sense into you" Lara snarled, with her body fully drenched in rain and clothes tightly clung to her body like second skin, nothing was going to stop her.

Jasper, smiled maybe finally Redric would kill her.

"You know you should really do something about those feelings you have for him" a gruff voice suddenly spoke into his earlobe in mock sympathy.

Knowing very well the 'who' being referred to was Redric, Jasper turned to glare at the man behind him who was now staring at him with calculating eyes full of menacing intent.

"One more thing," the man lazily draped his hands around Jasper's shoulders, then successfully halted him using one of his strong hands, before aggressively making Jasper face him. "If you so much as touch a strand of my sister's hair I will do more than just this..." An ear splitting crack sound was heard followed by a snap and Jasper's anguished scream.

Jasper could hardly believe that the arsehole had just dislocated his shoulder perhaps even broken a few bones while he was it.

"That was for my sister, because of you and my bat of a mother, she had to endure Redric's insults." The man glared at him with so much hate that Jasper had to scamper away from him like a little whimp.

Dread laughed, amused and disappointed at the same time then sneered in disgust "you're pathetic"

Jasper tried to even his voice to hide the resentment and anger lurking beneath his tough man facade then spoke "And you are an arse just like your sister"

"We might be, you know what else my sister and I have in common?, we are psychopaths, your alpha is about to find that out the hard way and so will you if so much as utter her name in my presence ever again"

He whistled as he made his way towards the door before turning around to stare at Jasper one more time "It was fun scaring the crap out of you mutt but I promise you the next time I see you I will rip your trachea right out of your neck and happily watch you miserable life end"

Dread gritted.
