5 Months Later
Everything inside her shut down as she stared at the woman she had once adored and worshiped, "You're the one who murdered my father, but you're the freaking moon goddess for fucks sake..you're supposed to be..." Lara stammered, "kind"
"Why?" She growled.
Instantly the moon goddess clenched her hands tightly into fists, her grey eyes flicked up to Lara and narrowed into slits, hostility visible. "Do I look like I care about your stupid questions" she responded in a bored tone and a passive voice.
"Answer my God damn question you hag" Lara shuffled forward until she was standing barely an inch away from her.
"Because I just felt like it,
and you and that dark wolfed mutt are next" the moon goddesses snickered before rolling her eyes.
"Redric was right about you?"
"I can't believe I gave birth to you?" The moon goddesses stared at Lara condescendingly.
"What do you mean gave birth to me?"
"God you have no idea?" oh does the poor little Lara not know am her mother? how I wish I wasn't, you're pathetic, no worries though I'm here to rectify that mistake after all"
"lady you must be delusional" Lara scoffed but deep down she couldn't help but question.
"I hated you before but now I hate you even more, you and your wolf are the reincarnation of my worst enemies"
"I am not your daughter" Lara snarled in denial.
The woman laughed clutching her lungs dramatically, "I should have let that coward you call father live so he could tell you himself, but oops just couldn't help myself"
"Surrender or loose your lives" she snarled at them.
"The only life being lost is yours" Lara growled in retaliation.
"Look behind you" The moon goddess spoke in between laughter.
Lara turned to the sight of one of the most horrifying thing she had ever seen, Her best friend Dylan was levitating mid air, invincibles blades dissecting her piece by piece.
Blood oozing from every opening.
First it was her hands, her beautiful hands that fell to the floor like dominos, hands that had on many occasion comforted her, then everything else followed, from external organs to internal organs.
Lara screamed.
"Yes!, scream little girl" the moon goddess taunted, "a little louder and I might stop"
"I'm going to kill you" Lara growled.
The moon goddess fake yawned, "For a second there I thought you were going to bow and beg for your people"
"I prefer killing you instead" Lara snarled.
"Before that there's something you should know" the moon goddess smiled menacingly before tilting her head close to Lara's ear,whispered something only the two of them could hear then pulled back to stare at Lara's frozen state with a knowing look plastered on her face.
"I am going to enjoy this very much, now everyone of you shall fall and gravel at my feet like the filth that you are" the moon goddess growled before raising her arms towards the sky chanting words no one could understand and with them came chaos.
As soon as she was done people began seizing, blood gushing out of their mouths nose and ears, as if they were being sliced internally, their faces mirroring those of one experiencing excruciating pain.
The five shadow alphas who were there seemed to be the only ones not affected by her chants they shifted into their wolves. Making it the first time anyone seeing all seven rare wolves together.
The moon goddess growled, glaring at the sky "damn fate, how about we even the odds" she clapped her hands and the three people who appeared next to her shocked everyone to the core.
Behind them a large group of rogues, snarling in anticipation of the fight that would be taking place.
"Shift and attack!" the moon goddess growled.
"Jasper, what the fuck are you doing with that bat" Redric snarled at his traitor of a beta.
Beside the moon goddess was Jasper, Scarlet and shadow alpha James Reddington.
"Even now you're oblivious, what should I have expected from a man who can't even tell I am in love with him" Jasper snarled.
Redric sprinted towards him, then dug his claws into his jugular, I'd like nothing but to see you choke on those words", he snarled "I trusted you"
Then suddenly something happened, something overwhelming enough to render Redric motionless.
"Redric stop" He could hear Lara's pleading voice behind him, but he was to consumed with rage to do as she asked.
"You betrayed me and with her" he growled increasing pressure on the grip he had on Jasper's neck.
In the midst of all the distracting chaos the moon goddess attacked Lara who had been momentarily distracted trying to get Redric to focus on their surroundings.
She snapped Lara's spine into half. The sound was deafening.
What followed was dead silence.
Lara could only gasp in horror. Her body curved into a painful U-shaped angle, blood gushing out of her mouth.
She could hardly believe how her life was ending. She gazed at her mate as her body slowly collapsed to the ground in even more excruciating pain courtesy of whatever the moon goddess was chanting to prolong her pain.
Her mate was helpless... Not because he wasn't strong enough, it was the fact that he could not comprehend what had just happened and to whom that he was motionless.
Or maybe he just didn't want to comprehend.
Redric fell on his knees as the rain poured down on him. The once strong intimidating alpha now looked frail shivering but not from the gushing wind nor the assault from the rain but the motionless body of his mate.
It was his fault.
Then a voice came suddenly and like a high powered electric current, disrupting the pin drop silence.
"Not so fast mother" the voice spoke.
The silence around was unfathomable everyone turned to stare at the new comers and were met with two identical faces.
"What have you done Dread?" the moon goddess staggered in utter shock almost tripping herself.
"I see that aside from being bat shit crazy you're also bat shit blind" the second of the two men spoke, "Oh and in case you can't tell am Braille and he is Dread" he motioned to the man standing beside him.
"You traitor" the moon goddess screeched.
"Says the woman who just killed her own daughter" Dread scoffed.
Dread and Braille shifted at the same time. Their wolfs unlike their human counterparts looked nothing alike.
Dread's wolf was scarlet red while Braille's was a deep shade of ember almost gold.
The realisation that he was not only a shadow alpha but also a rare wolf came as a shock to most and it finally dawned on the rogues and everyone else that all the shadow alphas were rare wolves with exception of Lara.
"She is mine!" Redric growled halting them, "No one touches her but me"
That was the final straw.
