Tears stung my eyes as I sped down the side road. The fight between me and my Dad not far from my mind. I was only trying to help him, not have to have him bully me more. I was trying to help him become religious, so that he might change. To change for the better. That didn't happen though. I ran out of the house crying and drove away. I was brought back to reality as I realized I was speeding. I began to slow down, but it was too late. The headlights were coming closer. Suddenly my body lurched forward and everything was in slow motion. Through my windshield, I saw a boy. I saw blonde hair and panicked brown eyes. Then a light. I smiled, knowing it was time. Unlike my father, I have been saved. So I knew The Lord was going to take care of me. The there was a great crashing sound heard all around me, but I only focused on the light. Nothing hurt. I felt no pain. Then everything went black.

*Colton's POV*

The beeping woke me up. I tried to open my eyes but they felt like cement. After a few moments I finally managed to get them open. I instantly squinted as light stabbed my eyes, but I slowly opened then as my eyes adjusted. I heard an annoying beeping sound an turn my head to see a heart monitor hooked up to me. I looked around and saw sterile white walls and floors. A chemical smell invaded my nose. Then I realized I was in the hospital. I didn't know anyone was in the room with me until that person sniffled. I turned to see my mom there, clutching onto my hand. "Oh Colton! My baby boy are you alright? I thought I'd lost you!" She cried and grabbed me in a huge bear hug. I chuckled as I hugged back. "Mom I'm all right. Just a bit banged and bruised. The real question is how are you?" I asked, taking in her appearance. She looked like she hadn't slept in days and her eyes were red and swollen from crying so hard. She smiled. "Always so worried about other people besides yourself. That's why I love you baby boy. I stayed here. in the hospital so that I can see you when you first woke up." She said, wiping a stray tear from her eye. I kissed her forehead. "Well mom I'm awake now. Also, what happened? I don't remember anything." I said, pulling back from her a bit. "Honey you were in a car crash. A head on collision! You're very lucky to be alive! You hit a-" she was interrupted as the doctor walked into the room. "Ah good to see you're awake and well Mr. Dixon. How do you feel?" He asked me. He was a balding, wrinkled man. "I feel fine. Just a bit sore." I said, wanting to get out of here as fast as possible. "He didn't remember how he ended up here. Is that something to be concerned about?" My mom put in. The doctor shook his head. "No that's normal for most car crash victims. His vitals show that he's fine and he can go home today. We just have to fill out his paper work. Here I'll get the paperwork right now." And with that, he left the room. I turned back to my mom. "Who did I hit mom?" I asked, curiosity consuming me. I needed to know! She paused, then pointed to something behind me. That's when I realized that there was another beeping sound in the room. We weren't alone. I slowly turned around to see a tragic scene. A small girl was lying in the bed, what seemed like a thousand tubes hooked up to her. Her blonde hair was cut in a faux hawk style that mimicked mine. I got out of bed - pulling the tubes out of me - and got a closer look. Her left eye was swollen and she had bruises everywhere. She had soft pink lips and biggish ears that stuck out. She made them look beautiful though. Her imperfections were beautiful. My heart sped up a bit just looking at her. "Her name is Genevieve Binner. She lives near us actually, her parents are divorced, and she lives with her mom. She's in a coma honey. She needs blood to get surgery done so that she might get better but they can't find a blood donor." I heard my mom say from behind me. "How do you know all this mom?" I asked. "I've talked with her mother. Her mom visits most of the time but she has work and a house full of kids. Genevieve, a sister, and two brothers." She said. 'So she needs a blood donor to get surgery done?' I thought to myself. I know what I need to do now. Just then the doctor came back in. I instantly turned to him and asked the question that could save her life. "What's her blood type?"
