After shopping we all went out to lunch at a place called "Polkadot". It was an Elvis themed restaurant and it was pretty cool. We goofed around and took pictures by the Elvis statues outside before going in. "I'll definitely be keeping these on my phone." Annie said and put her phone into her pocket. I laughed. We got in line and ordered lunch. After I ordered I turned to Colton. "What do you want?" I asked him. "You don't have to pay for me. I brought money." He said and took out his wallet. "Colton no I want to pay for you. You did more than enough for me last night." I countered and lightly pushed away his wallet. "Annie a little help please?" He looked over my shoulder at her. Suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around my waist and dragged me away from the counter. "Annie let go!" I grunted as I struggled in her arms. I forgot how strong she was. "Nope he wants to pay Genna so let him." She said and dragged me towards the bathroom. "My own cousin turned against me! This isn't right!" I growled and struggled still. She threw me into the bathroom and shut the door, locking it. I banged against it with all my might, which wasn't a lot. Suddenly the door gave away and I spilled out onto the floor. "Ow." I groaned and got up. "Colton paid for yours and his lunch." Annie said, giggling. "Treachery isn't nice." I told her. "It is fun though." She winked at me. I sighed and sat down in the booth next to a smirking Colton and I stuck my tongue out at him childishly. He chuckled and began to eat his food. Annie and I hardly even ate, we caught up on a ton of things. I told her about how school was going and my trip to the hospital and I saw so much anger in her eyes at the mention of what happened. "People are so cruel sometimes. We can only pray for them," Annie are some fries and I nodded. "Oh! Do you want to go to church with us tomorrow? I'm singing "Amazing Grace," I smiled at her, knowing it was her favorite song. Her eyes widened and her lips stretched across her face in a wide smile. "Yes!" She squealed. "If Genna's performing then I have to go!" Colton winked at me and I blushed. "So what are you wearing tomorrow?" Annie asked and I thought of the pale pink sun dress I was wearing. "Oh, something I had for awhile now," I winked at her and she scowled at me. She hates it when I'm vague. "Can I know what your wearing?" Colton tried asking but I shook my head. "Well, it's a mystery. We won't know until tomorrow," Colton sat back in the seat, resigned. Annie's eyebrows were still knitted together in thought. "No. I'll find out what you're wearing," she gave me a evil grin and I rolled my eyes. "Go ahead Miss Detective. You'll never find it," I laughed evilly. We laughed and continued to eat. Once we were done we threw away our trash, Colton headed home and Annie and I drove home as well. "So what are you wearing tomorrow?" Annie asked for the hundredth time and I chuckled. "Ok I just couldn't say it in front of Colton but I'm wearing your old pink dress with brown cowboy boots. Also can you drive me to the hair salon? I have an appointment to get extensions." Annie braked so fast that I almost didn't have enough time to catch myself from hitting the dash board. She pulled off to the side, I was thankful that no one was behind us. She gave me a completely shocked look. "What color are the boots?"
"Brown with a tiny flower design."
"What are you getting for extensions and why?"
"The same color of my hair and I was thinking about loosely curling it tomorrow. I'm having them until my hair grows out."
"Oh my gosh Genna!" She squealed and hugged me. "What?" I was totally lost. Why was she freaking out so much? "That's so adorable! Colton will be drooling!" She grinned like an idiot. "Thanks," I laughed. She pulled off from the side of the road and we headed to the hair salon. We locked the car and headed inside where I was greeted by a perky red head with bright blue eyes. "Welcome to Strawberry Salon how can I help you?" She greeted us. "Hi I have an appointment at 2:00?" I looked at the clock to see that it was 1:55.
"Are you Genevieve Binner?"
"Yes I am," I smiled. "Ok take a seat please," she motioned to the chairs and we both sat down. The salon was a bright room with ocean blue walls and shelves stuffed with bottles of shampoo and conditioner. "I'm kind of nervous. The last time I got my hair cut I got the faux hawk and ever since then I cut it on my own," I admitted sheepishly. "Girl you have nothing to worry about," Annie patted my shoulder. I gave her a weak smile and then they called me back. "That's me! See you when I'm done," I walked back with the hairstylist and I lost sight of Annie as I rounded the corner.

"OH MY GOSH! You look adorable!" Annie squealed as I walked around the corner. "It feels weird having so much hair on my head now," I played with the bouncy blonde curls. I didn't expect hair to feel so heavy. It's been awhile since it's been this long. It came down to my lower back. I looked... Good with it. It felt weird yet somehow natural. "Now let's get back home and do your nails and look at some ideas for make up tomorrow," Annie took my hand and lead us back to the car. We buckled up and drove away.
