"Phil I'm fine. I'm right here, there's nothing to worry about." If Phil was worried about Chris beating me up does that mean he caused Chris to have all those bruises? If so does that mean Chris could've been telling the truth?
"What happened Phil? Why would Chris be after me?" I needed confirmation before I began hinting at anything.
"I don't even know how to say this Dan, but I beat Chris up. He kept talking shit about you and I couldn't deal with it. You're so beautiful and all he ever does is treat you like shit. What happens when I'm not there to catch you when you fall. I can't keep finding you shoved in various places. It hurts to keep finding you like that." Phil rambled, "I care about you way too much. Fuck it Dan I'd be so lost without you. I know we've barely known each other for that long, but you already mean to world to me. I just - I guess I jus-."
"Shhhh," I brought my finger up to his lips shushing him. I could tell Phil was beyond nervous so I did the only logical thing. "You're cute when you ramble." I stated abruptly. Leaving no time for a response, I crashed our lips together in a heated and loving kiss.
I pulled back, not long after, looking into Phil's ocean blue eyes. They were so bright, filled to the brim with adoration. "P-Phil, I'm new to this whole... well everything, but I think- I think I love you."
Without another word Phil cupped my cheeks and pulled me into another kiss. This time I could physically feel the emotion he was conveying through the simple gesture. "I think I love you too." he smiled down at me.
