Chapter 44: we can't have a moment of peace

Ashley's p.o.v

Everything was finally back to normal, I could see Dylan, I was done with exams, Sarah and tyler were happy, the rest of the gang was doing fine and Val and Nicole can't seem to keep their hands for themselves lately. So it's a happy ending right?

I went downstairs before saying goodbye to Stephanie and going outside. As I walked out, I saw Dylan standing there waiting for me.

'You took time' he sighed.

'Not really' I said as I gave him a hug before I got on the motorcycle behind him.

'Hold on to me tight' he told me.

'Don't worry Dylan' I reassured him.

Dylan's p.o.v

As I started driving this thing I started noticing the weird noises coming from my motorcycle.

'Sorry ash but our trip ends here' I said before I tried stopping.

'What, why?' She asked. That thing wouldn't stop. There was some serious issue.

'Okay listen someone messed with it you're gonna have to jump' I shouted.

'What? What about you?' She panicked.

'Ill jump when I make sure you did first' I told her. Problem is, we were going too fast Im scared she'll get hurt.

'I can't jump' she rushed out.

'We're gonna crash in that tree ashley' I told her.

'Im scared I don't wanna jump' she cried.

'ASHLEY WE'RE TOO CLOSE' I yelled. 'JUMP FAST' I yelled before I tried giving her a light push as she finally did, that's when everything went black.

Flashback

'So you're ashley carter?' I asked the girl with a smirk plastered on my face. Tyler is right, I am an annoying person.

'I figured you knew since you called my name' she sassed

'Next time you break in my bathroom while I'm naked just make sure to be naked too' I laughed as she pulled a disgusted face before storming off. I pride myself on being a jerk sometimes.

I followed ashley only to find a guy stalking her as she helplessly tried to get him off her.

'Let go' she said. 'I said-' she started before I interrupted her. 'I said let go' I yelled before tackling him down.

'Didn't mean to annoy you ash' I joked.

'Do you want to shut up?' She snapped.

'Do you want to make me?' I challenged.

'Dylan' She cried.

'Im fine..it's, it's okay' I stuttered.

'Im sorry' She said.

'I'm gonna be okay it's nothing' I whispered.

'I love you'

Flashback ends

Ashley's p.o.v

I woke up and found myself in a hospital room, how the fuck did I get here?

I slowly got up from the bed noticing I had bruises on my right knee and right forearm. It hurt a bit but I'm fine.

'Hey you're okay' Nicole said before she hugged me.

'Where's Dylan?' I looked at her terrified remembering the events.

'Ash-' she started.

'Where is he Nicole?' I yelled.

'He's in the room next door but I don't think-' she started but I ran outside and went in the other room only to find Dylan looking half dead.

'Whats wrong with him?' I asked the nurse and looked to see tyler was there, as well as max.

'Unfortunately he had a severe concussion which is why he's in coma' she said.

'What?' I snapped.

'Im sorry, but don't worry we're gonna try our best' she said before leaving.

'Shes gonna try her best?' I looked at tyler with tears in my eyes.

'He'll survive this, it's Dylan we're talking about ash' tyler tried reassuring me, but it looked like he was trying to convince himself instead.

'Dylan' I whispered going near him. I sat on the edge of the bed before holding his hand in mine.

'Please don't be dead' I cried.
