Chapter 40: The gang has fallen apart

Ashley's p.o.v

I was sitting on the small couch in my room crying. I can't believe that Valentino slapped me, he never once dared to do that and now he did. I killed Nate. And the thing is, if I could go back in time, I would do it again, because he could have killed me, and Dylan. Val is being so cruel not even letting me go to the hospital to see Dylan, also Im locked in my own room right now. That fucking bastard. He thought I was gonna try and sneak out, well I damn sure would have.

I heard someone knocking on my door. I don't want to answer him.

'Ashley it's me' I heard Stephanie's voice.

'You know I'd rather stay locked here, because if I see my brother I'm going to slap him' I told her.

She unlocked the door coming in.

'You heard us fighting right?' She asked.

'Yeah' I nodded.

'He doesn't have the right to lock in your room, he forgets that I'm responsible of you. And lately I haven't been a good aunt' she said looking down.

'Steph you're amazing trust me, it's actually Val the drama queen' I rolled my eyes.

'I got angry at him for slapping you, this is unacceptable' she shook her head.

'I deserved it' I said.

'No ashley, I'm a terrible aunt. Val is in a gang, you got kidnapped, you shot someone, you're dating a gang leader, and I don't know what to do...I can never be a good parent' she sighed with tears in her eyes.

'Stephanie, you know you're like a mother to me, and none of this was your fault, it's all me and Val' I assured her.

'I'm guilty as well' she muttered.

'I need to see Dylan' I cried.

'Right now what you need to do, is rest, because there's school tomorrow' she told me.

'Fuck' I snapped leaving the room. As I came downstairs I saw Val sitting on the couch in the living room, with Nicole next to him.

'I thought I said no leaving your room' he glared at me.

'Stephanie is the one who makes the decisions here' I spoke.

Val stood up and stalked towards me aggressively.

'Hey hey hey' Nicole said following him placing her hands on his chest as an attempt to back him away.

'You don't understand that everything I do is for your own good sake!' He yelled.

'Guys that's enough!' Stephanie said coming downstairs.

'No let him steph, let him yell on me, and slap me, what are you gonna do next Val beat me up till I start obeying you!' I screamed.

'You fucking idiot I would never do that!' He yelled.

'Clearly' I snapped.

'Everything that happened to you, was my fault okay! I'm trying to get you out of this, because I can't risk your life again, and you never listen to me, you're out of control! I couldn't deal with it!' He screamed.

'Where is Dylan?' I asked.

'He's at the hospital, with tyler, max and Lucas' Val answered.

'I'm gonna see him tonight' I told Val.

'No you're not' he replied.

'Yeah I am, did you forget that he lives here?' I asked.

'Honey I already talked to him about this, he's not staying here anymore' he spat.
