"It wasn't Asher!" Jay shouted."What's taking him so long?!"
"We have to pull out!" came Jess' voice.
"Not yet!" Poe exclaimed. "We still have a shot!" Suddenly, a vibration spread through the surrounding area as a fireball erupted in the middle of the cruiser. "Oh, no."
"Poe, now!" Snap Wexley, another one of us, exclaimed. "Leave him!"
"We don't leave without Ash!" Another explosion. The cruiser was dipping now, fires spreading.
"Pulling out," Jay said. He could hear Poe shouting Asher's name.
"We have to go!" Jess screamed. Poe was silent for a moment, explosions sounding over the speakers. "Poe?!"
"Pulling out," he said, defeated, and the Black Squadron shot into hyperspace.
