As dawn approached and the stars were drowned in sunlight, Morgan snuck out of the barracks and into the surrounding forest. She pulled on the combat jacket she'd been given then bounded into the trees. The silence was only broken by the leaves in the wind. Once she thought she'd gone deep enough into the thick of the woods, she found a tree and began to climb its trunk and branches, just as she'd scaled the high-rises on the Ring. Reaching a satisfying height, she closed her eyes and leaned back against the rough bark, breathing in the fresh air. There wasn't such a thing in the city. She'd enjoy it for as long as she could.

Her decision was made. She would fly with Poe and Jay. She would intercept the information they seemed so intent on finding, help them make it out alive. But she had a feeling Ben would be on that ship. He was already. She could sense him. And someone just as strong, or maybe even stronger. She'd find them. Hear them out. Try to understand. Because neither Jay nor Ben had really earned her trust. But maybe they still could. She'd just have to wait and see.
