Thursday came and went without much fuss. Dark didn't treat you any differently in his class, but when you saw Mr. Warfstache walking pass you in the hall he winked at you. You blushed, of course, but continued on your way.
You couldn't stop replaying the events of Wednesday in your mind. You felt a bit of guilt and shame, knowing that what you did was completely unorthodox and illegal. You had given in to Dark so easily and you couldn't comprehend why. Sure he was hot, but he was an asshole. You felt so confused.
Your friends hadn't noticed that something was wrong with you, which was good. You didn't want to talk about what was going on between you and Dark. The best you could do was go on this date with him and be done with it.
"Hey, (Y/N)!" Ethan walked up to you Friday morning. "Wanna hang out with the gang on Saturday? We're all getting together at my house."
"Oh heck yeah!" You smiled at him, happy that you had something else to take your mind off of Dark. "Text me the details, okay?"
"Sure thing." Ethan replied. His expression on his face suddenly became more serious. "Are you okay? You seem like something's on your mind."
You were surprised to hear that coming from Ethan. You always thought he was just a happy-go-lucky guy, but he had more depth than you thought. You may have only known him for a week, but you already knew that he was a friend you intended on keeping.
"I'm just a bit stressed over school work." You gave him an excuse, not wanting to reveal your secret. It would cause too many problems. "I appreciate the concern."
"Okay..." He responded, though he didn't appear to believe you. "Well, Wilford forgot to mention that we have practice after school today, so I'll see you there!" Ethan's normal cheer had returned thankfully.
"See you." You smiled at him as he walked off. Class was about to start, but strangely enough, you hadn't seen any of your other friends. Once you went to your first hour, you found that your friend wasn't there. You decided to text her and ask where she was.
The bell rang and you put your phone away, smirking to yourself. You wanted donuts, but you were glad you weren't late. You had been in enough trouble already.
About five minutes after school started, your friend burst into the classroom with a bag of donuts. She was panting a little and Mr. Green raised an eyebrow.
"Late again, (Y/F/N)?" Mr. Green scolded as she walked up to him.
"I brought donuts." She said, offering the bag to him. "Want one?" She was trying to bribe him and you knew it.
"No." He replied, shaking his head. "Next time you're tardy, you will have detention. Consider this a warning."
"Man, tough crowd." (Y/F/N) muttered as she made her way back to her seat. She offered you a donut, which you gladly took.
