You laid in your bed at home, tear tracks staining your face. You felt embarrassed to be crying over him, especially since the two of you had been dating for only three months, but goddammit he made you love him.

The fact that he was so emotionless and unaffected by all of this made you question whether or not he ever cared for you. You just didn't understand why he acting this way. Sure, you said some shitting things to him, but you didn't think they warranted this kind of action.

Your phone buzzed and part of you hoped it was Dark, but you didn't want to get up and check. Your phone buzzed again and you covered your head with a pillow to shut out the noise. The third time it vibrated, you reluctantly took a peak at it with the intent of turning it on silent.

How Wilford knew something was wrong was beyond you. It was like he could sense a disturbance in the force or something or maybe Ethan told him more than he was letting on. Either way, you knew he'd confront you at school if you didn't call him now. At least you could cry in the privacy of your own room.

"Hello?" Ethan answered when you called. You told him to give Wilford the phone and he did.

"(Y/N), sweetheart, what's going on?" He sounded uncharacteristically concerned. Why did he care so much? Why did all of your teachers care so much?

"Nothing, Will." You did your best to conceal the fact that you had been sobbing like a big bubble blowing baby. (which isn't a bad thing. Crying is a very healthy way of expressing your emotions and don't let anyone tell you otherwise).

"You've been crying." He noticed you were off the moment he heard you speak. "Is it Dark?"

"How did you know?" You really hoped he hadn't said that in front of anyone. You really didn't want to deal with rumors spreading around the school.

"He's been off as well." Wilford said, slowly getting a bit more angry. "I think he and I need to have a little chat."

"No, Wilford, please don't!" You begged, not wanting Dark to think you put Wilford up to this. You didn't need anymore discourse between you two. "You'll just make things worse."

"Believe you me, sweetheart, I know how to deal with Dark when he behaves like this." Luckily he sounded less angry, but you didn't think you were going to be able to stop him from confronting Dark.

"Like what?" You asked with a small smile. "An asshole?"

"Essentially, yes." He chuckled, sighing deeply. "There is another pressing matter at hand. I've heard you've been poking around dear old Mark's house."

"Uh-"

"(Y/N), I'm only going to say this once." The sudden shift in his tone was enough to capture your attention completely. "For the love of all that is holy, stay away from that godforsaken house. Please."
