The things that Dark did to you that night were things you'd never be able forget. In your mind, you could still see the way his face was twisted into pure rage towards you and the way his unrelenting hands came upon you over and over again. All of it made it physically difficult to leave the bed that morning, but at least Dark had already gotten up and hopefully left the house. Now that you stood in front of the bathroom mirror naked after he had ripped all of your clothes off of you, you could truly see what he had called his "masterpiece." Your neck was already bruised with a purple and black handprint that you weren't sure if you could cover up with makeup, your wrists were bruised with handprints as well, there were various bite marks, scratches, and even more bruises littering your body. What was the most jarring to you was the black rose tattooed into the scarred side of your abdomen. Had he fucking branded you? Is that what had hurt so bad?
You ran your fingers through your hair as you sunk down to the ground and rested your head on your knees, sobs escaping your lips no matter how hard you tried to quiet them. You just didn't understand what could possibly make him so cruel. He had never been the same ever since the accident and even if it was trauma, he wouldn't be this much of a monster would he?
You jumped when you heard pounding on the bathroom door, hurrying to wipe away your tears and look around for something to cover yourself with. You quickly grabbed a towel and wrapped around your body, not ready in anyway to face Dark.
"Sweetheart?"
You immediately whipped open the door as soon as you heard that unmistakable voice, basically jumping into Wilford's arms and sobbing into his chest. You hadn't realized how badly you needed a goddamn hug after all of this and Wilford happened to be an excellent hugger.
"(Y/N), what happened?" He sounded incredibly worried, looking you over when you pulled back. His gaze fell to your neck and immediately anger lit up in his eyes, but he calmed himself down before he could scare you too badly. "Did Dark do this?"
You could hear the willful disbelief in his voice, clearly not wanting to believe that his best friend would do something so horrible. However, it was more than apparent that Wilford knew and it was fucking breaking his heart.
"Yeah." Your throat was incredibly sore and your voice hoarse, defeat evident enough in your body language alone. You felt like a goddamn fool for not leaving while you had the chance and now you knew that he wouldn't let you go until he was finished with you. "I want to go home, Wilford."
"Of course." As soon as the last word left his mouth, the two of you were back in your room that you felt like you hadn't seen in forever. "(Y/N), may I ask you one last question before I take my leave?"
"Sure."
"Did he brand you?"
The look on your face must've told Wilford all he needed to know since he simply nodded somberly, his hands slipping off of your shoulders before he disappeared without another word. You weren't quite sure what that meant, but you already didn't like it.
After getting dressed you threw the towell in the laundry, planning on burning it if you got the chance. Despite that small part of you still cared for him after everything he's done, you didn't want anything reminding you of him. You felt guilty that you even had an ounce of "love" towards him, but goddamit it wouldn't go away. You were so fucking confused.
After making sure your turtle neck covered the bruises, you went out into the living room to greet your mother sitting on the couch. She simply smiled at you with a little wave as if you had been at the house this entire time. You found that to be rather strange, but you didn't have the energy to care at the moment. Right now you wanted to be alone, but you knew that you'd only be fixated on what had happened. So instead you went to Ethan's.
