It was hard to be around Dark at first and you absolutely refused to go to his apartment with him alone, but he did seem happier now that you took him back. He even let your friends off from their detention, which took you a bit by surprise since he wasn't the most forgiving man. Unfortunately, that meant you had to explain what had happened between you two and deal with the looks of frustration on your friends' faces. At least they wouldn't be put in harms way now that his attention was back on you.
Of course, Dark wasn't perfect and he still had one hell of a temper. He had been doing so well up until exam time during second trimester. You had actually gone to see him at his apartment that day, calling his name as you walked in and receiving no answer. You normally would've left, but you had brought food for the two of you and you weren't about to let it go to waste.
"Dark?" You knocked softly on his office door as it opened slightly to reveal Dark with his head down on his desk. You walked up to him and placed your hands on his shoulders, shaking him gently. "Dark, dinner's here."
He sat up rather quickly, grabbing onto your wrists and jerking you over to him. His eyes seemed to be glassed over as he stared at you violently shaking out of fear. He suddenly letting you go when he came back to reality.
"I'm sorry. I was having a nightmare." He glanced down at the floor as you rubbed your wrists, taking a step back when he stood. He slowly came in for a hug, drawing you up against him as he placed a kiss on top of your head. "It's alright, my dear. You are safe."
Your shaking stopped after a few seconds in his grasp, starting to be able to be comforted by his touch again. You steadied your breathing and told yourself that he wasn't going to hurt you again. He promised he wouldn't.
"Let's eat, shall we?"
Dinner was painfully tense between you two and you kept casting nerves glances over at Dark to try to gauge his mood. Your eyes ran along his tense shoulders, his white dress shirt being wrinkled and his tie long forgotten. His jaw was clenched tightly, his eyes seething with silent frustration before they glanced up at you.
"Why are you staring at me?" He raised a brow, setting down his fork as he glared at you. "Is there something you'd like to say?"
You hesitated before deciding it was best to speak up. You were a bit worried about him after all.
"Are you alright, Dark?"
"Are you implying that I have a problem?" He snapped, his hands balling into fists. "Do you believe there is something wrong with me?"
"No, I just-" You panicked, raising your hands up in surrender. Dark stood from the table suddenly with his hands planted firmly on top of it, leaning towards you.
"You just what?" He snarled, narrowing his eyes at you. His red hue surrounded his form, clinging close to him.
"I'm just worried about you, Dark." You answered honestly, hands folded in your lap. He hadn't gotten like this in a long time and while it did bring back bad memories, it still wasn't enough to push you away. "I hate seeing you upset."
"I know. I'm sorry, my behavior was rather uncalled for." He glanced down at his plate in shame before pinching the bridge of his nose and sighing. He sat back down and put his hands up to his face. "Exams are always a stressful time of year for teachers and students alike. I will be more mindful of my actions."
"Okay."

After that, he only had normal incidents where he got a bit irritated just like any other person would, but he always kept himself in check. You two made a lot of good memories too like the time Dark took you to the lower levels of his apartment complex where the most beautiful grand piano sat. Dark took a seat on the bench, patting the spot next to him for you to sit as well.
