You had lost another day at the manor and exam day was finally here. In a red bull fueled rampage, you managed to finish all of your reviews along with anything that was due. You were pretty proud of yourself, if you were being honest.

"Ready to fail?" (Y/F/N) said before Mr. Green passed out the exams. She's such a little ray of sunshine.

"Ready."

The math exam wasn't as hard as expected it to be and you may have done well. However, whenever you think you did well, you actually did terribly so... best not to think of it for now.

You spent the majority of English finishing up your paper and you managed to get it in just before the bell rang. Only one more exam for today and then you're golden.

You felt in a lighter mood today as you traveled to lunch with you friends. Honestly, this was probably your best day this hellish week.

Ethan watched you carefully, as did (Y/F/N), but you ignored it for the time being. That was until Ethan pulled you aside after lunch had ended. The concern in those big blue eyes was adorable and heartwarming.

"Are you okay?" He asked and for whatever reason, the question made your head throb intensely.

"Not really." You mumbled and Ethan immediately pulled you into a hug. That seemed to be his knee jerk reaction to a friend's sadness. "Dark broke up with me and now he's treating me as if nothing ever happened between us."

"Want me to beat him up?" The sincerity of Ethan's question made you genuinely laugh. What a good bean.

"No, he'd kick your ass." You smiled, pulling away from the smol blue boi. "I appreciate the gesture, though."

"Uh, wrong, but no problem, my dude." Ethan shrugged as the two of you walked out of the library. "I'll see you tomorrow!"

"See you!" You called as you both went to your last exams of the day. Pop culture was incredibly easy, especially since Bing literally put one question on the exam and let you all leave when you were finished (even though he's not supposed to).

The rest of your day was easy and once you got home, you felt at peace completely. You didn't dare visit the manor tonight, but you couldn't stop thinking about it. You felt it's magnetic pull tempting your body to give in and oh how you wanted to. If anything, you could simply visit the manor over the weekend or during Thanksgiving break. Either way, you knew it would be healthy to take a break from it and spend some time with your friends.

"If I don't see some of you until third tri or even for the rest of the year, I wish you the best." Mr. Fischbach said as the hour was coming to a close. You were honestly gonna miss this class, but at least you would still have him for at least one more tri. "Make good choices, everybody."

The bell dismissed all of you and everyone scurried out of the room. They all seemed ready to get their final exam of the tri over and done with. You were too in a way, but you didn't enjoy seeing Dark like you use to.

You offered Mr. Fischbach a wave and he returned it before you were off to fifth hour. You took your seat amongst your friends and twiddled your fingers nervously.

"So, did you study?" (Y/F/N) asked you with a playful smile. She most likely already knew the answer.

"Not really." You shrugged, leaving out the fact that you had missed an entire day and had no time to actually study. "I think I'll be fine."

"I'm kinda fucked." Ethan muttered a bit too loudly.

"Language, Mr. Nestor." Dark scolded him, not bothering to look up from his papers. Ethan flipped him off in a way that he couldn't see and you all let out a laugh.
