*Wilford's POV*
"Fuck!" He exclaimed, tangling his fingers in his pink locks. How did she slip through his grasp? He promised both Dark and himself that he would keep her safe, no matter the circumstance and now what did he have? The bitter taste of failure and yet another friend lost.
Wilford whipped out his cell phone and immediately diled Oliver, who had promised to be there at the ready. He better have gotten a signal on her tracker or there may be some extra scrap metal lying around.
Abe and Mark ran into the room with panicked expressions on their faces, Abe seeming to have a slight limp and a pained expression on his features.
"What do you mean it just disappeared?" Wilford growled as Mark and Abe looked on with concern, his fingers tightening around the phone. When Wilford got incredibly agitated, he tended to get a bit... shooty. "Did you get a location or not?"
Wilford nodded as he hung up his cellphone and by hung up, he crushed it in his hand with a snarl on his lips. He looked to Mark and Abe with a frustrated sigh.
"What the fuck just happened?" Abe asked, shoving his gun into its holster, his eyes flickering back up to his pastel companion.
"They're in Los Angeles." Wilford stated curtly as he stormed out of her room with out another word, passing by her mother's room where the older woman laid unconscious. He didn't know what she would think when she woke up to find (Y/N) just fucking gone with the wind. Oh well, that wasn't his problem.
"That's a start." Mark adjusted his glasses, doing his best to stay somewhat positive as Wilford paused in his steps. "What do we do now?"
"We continue our investigation." Wilford finally walked away without another word, leaving Mark and Abe standing in a stupor inside of (Y/N)'s room by themselves.
*Ethan's POV*
Ethan's heart dropped as soon as he saw the blinking green light disappear off the map, his hope and optimism crushed into thousands of tiny pieces. Mr. Oliver slammed his hands on the desk, startling all four of the kids that clearly hadn't expected the gentle android to be so aggressive.
"No, no, no!" The man exclaimed, clicking rapidly to try to pinpoint where the signal had once been. "Fuck!"
"Mr. Oliver?" Ethan asked timidly, laying a hand on his tense shoulder. He glared up at Ethan, causing Ethan to immediately retract his hand and step back in slight fear.
"I'm sorry." He said curtly, turning back to the screen in front of him with anguish in his eyes. "I've lost her."
"Did you at least get a chance to see where she was?" Tyler asked as they all crowded around the librarian, chomping at the bit to get an answer from him.
"Los Angeles." He replied, leaning back in his chair with a groan while running his hands through his brunette hair. "It looks like you four will have to continue your investigation. Lord knows that pink idiot isn't going to find anything."
Ethan didn't understand why Wilford wouldn't accept their help, nor why he wouldn't use these super computers. He told Ethan, Tyler, Amy, and Kathryn that he would kick them out of theater if they pursued this investigation, a serious and stern expression on his face. Of course, that wouldn't stop them- they were already in too deep and they had a friend to save.
