Chapter Thirty-Seven

*Sophie's P.O.V*
We got home and had a couple of hours before we had to leave to meet everyone at the ice rink. We were planning on moving house soon as we were getting bored of this one and we were talking about eventually having kids after we got married so we wanted a more bigger house. I walked into the house and sat down on the sofa. "God its so nice to be in the warmth." Derek laughed as he closed the door. "Like I do love winter cause Christmas and snow and there's a lot to do at Christmas but it can get too cold and I don't like it." I laughed and so did he before walking over and pecking my lips. "How's about I make us both a hot chocolate and we sit and cuddle whilst watching a Christmas movie?" I nodded in agreement. "I'd love that." I smiled and he smiled back walking off into the kitchen.

As he did so I switched on the TV. Normally by now there's a Christmas movie channel so my first instinct was to look on there and see what was on however there wasn't anything interesting or fun on. I went onto Netflix and got the Christmas movie selection up and saw 'Elf'. I love elf so I obviously clicked on that and clicked paused waiting for Derek to come back in with the hot chocolates. I looked over as he walked in and placed the cups on the coffee table in front of the sofa. "A hot chocolate for my hot fiancé." He winked and I chuckled. Smooth Derek, Smooth. He sat next to me and looked at the TV. "I knew you'd put Elf on." He laughed and so did I.

I pressed play, sipped some of my hot chocolate and lay my head on Derek's lap. I love him. I'm so glad I can call him mine. We watched the film for the hour and half it was until it finally finished. We checked the time and we had half an hour before we had to leave so we decided to get the laptop and sit and search for some houses. We didn't want to move too far because of family and friends but we didn't wanna be in the same area. We wanted to be somewhere a little more quiet and more of a bigger house as I said before. We searched and searched but we struggled to find the right house. I wish it was easier than this but I guess well just have to stay here until we find the right place.

*Liv's P.O.V*
We got to the ice rink about 15 minutes before we were meant to meet everyone else. Bryce was already here so we went and spoke to him. We just had to wait for Derek and Sophie to show up now and then we could get ice skating. Me, Mikey and Bryce just chatted for a while and then we saw Derek's car pull up. We all ran over and said hey as they got out. "All ready?" I said smiling. "YES BOY" Bryce shouted before running to the ticket office for the ice skating. We all laughed as we followed. Bryce paid for his ticket, then Derek paid for him and Sophie and then Mikey paid for us both before we all sat down and changed our original shoes to ice skates.

I waited for Mikey to get his skates on as I finished quite quickly and everyone was getting ready to get on the rink. He stood up almost falling over so I laughed before helping him up and we entered the rink. I skated off and all I could see was Mikey holding onto the side and falling over every step that he made. I couldn't help but laugh. I skated around once and went up to him. "You ok?" I laughed and helped him up. "I don't think I'm exactly good at this?" He laughed getting up. I laughed with him then held his hand. "You can hold my hand through it and we'll take it steady" I smiled and he nodded smiling back.

I held his hand tight and skated at a steady speed helping him go and he looked like bambi On Ice but didnt fall over. "See your doing it" I smiled and he grinned looking happy as I ever. I looked over at the rest of the group and they were all giggling and having a laugh. It made me so happy knowing we were all happy. We skated for a good hour or so then all decided it was time to go for coffee before heading off home. So we all got off the ice rink, took our skates off, got our shoes back and went and sat in the cafe by the rink.

"So bro. Have you been planning the wedding?" I smiled sipping my coffee and speaking over to derek sat opposite me on the table. "Well we've planned some stuff but not everything" he shrugged and smiled. I was so happy for him. Really happy. And for my best friend, sophie. They both deserve to be happy and by the looks of things they make each other happy.

We stayed in the cafe for a good hour chatting away about each other's lives and about the past, the present and the future. Remembering memories, making memories and thinking about the memories to come. Then we finally realised the time and all parted into our couples/solos and went into the cars driving off back home. Bryce was stopping at ours tonight so it was me, Mikey and Bryce in the car. For the whole journey home, Bryce and Mikey played Christmas music singing loudly too it. Please just get me home...

——-2 Hours Later——-
*Mikey's P.O.V*
We'd eventually got home and by the time we'd got in, watched a bit of tv, had a drink and got ready and in bed, 2 hours had passed. Bryce slept in the spare room and I was currently sat alone in me and Liv's bed whilst Liv locked up the house. I had a suprise for Liv and Sophie. I was going to suprise them tonight but decided to wait for tomorrow. Liv had a physio appointment tomorrow to check if everything's still ok with her leg so I'd take her then go to derek and Sophie's and tell them the suprise.

I looked at the bottom of the room at the door as Liv walked in and smiled over at her: she smiled back, closing the door and turning the light off before climbing into bed next to me. "I've had such a good day" she said laying her head on my chest and cuddling up to me.  I kissed her head and smiled to myself. "I'm glad you've had a good day beautiful. So have I" I wrapped my arms around her and cuddled her closely. Things were slowly starting to get back to normal. Yes slow but I'm just glad things were getting better no matter how long they are taking to do so.
