Chapter Ten

Mari-Anna's Pov

I was glad that was over, I could feel people eyes on me. I looked to find two very astonished girls and a smiling Aish looking at me. "That.was.amazing! Can we keep her?" April chimed, and asked if I was some sort of pet.

I laughed, "If you want to be best friends, I'm cool with it."

"Awesome, we can -," April was interrupted by the deafening bell.

"Dang, we better go," Aish looked at me, "What do you have now?" Grabbing out my timetable, I scanned it and responded, "English."

"Oh? So do I," Melanie finally spoke and smiled at me.

"Awesome, that means you can sit with Mel," Aish grinned. April and Aish split from us and Melanie and I walked to class.

Melanie's Pov

English was a blur, as Mr. Smith rambled on and on about how we should respect him as he does every lesson. ".......okay, everyone understand?" Mr. Smith asked as he finally finished his speech. Kids nodded, so then he would shut up.

"I'm glad that's finally over," I whispered to Mair-Anna.

"I know right? I swear if he had said another word, I would have crashed on the desk," she whispered back to me. The bell rang loudly, signalling lunch, the whole class quickly grabbed their bags and pushed to get through the doors. As we walked into the hallway, someone shouted, "Melanie!"

'No way am I stopping for her' I thought to myself, ignoring her cousin.

"Uh, Mel? I think someone called you," Mari tried to keep up with me.

"Oh, I heard it, It's my cousin," I explained, "she is probably trying to humiliate me, as per usual." We reached the table from recess to find Aish and April already sitting and eating their lunch. I sat next to April as always, and watched Mari-Anna sit next to Aish, who was smiling like an idiot. 'He soooo likes her,' I thought, before I was interrupted by someone who had walked up to our table.

"How dare you ignore me when I call you," Forest said with annoyance while looking at me.

Sighing i asked, "What do you want Forest?" making sure the irritation in my voice was clear. Forest looked at Mari-Anna, with accusing eyes, "Is this the chick who called Kelly a bitch?" she asked me. Mari-Anna was gonna respond but she saw me shaking my head at her. "No that was some other chick, " I lied to my older cousin with no hesitation.

"Well then are you going to at least introduce me to your new friend?" She asked me, when i didn't answer she spoke again, "I'll do it myself then, Hey, I'm Forest, Melanie's only cousin;" Forest introduced herself to Mari-Anna. I was shocked when Mari spoke, "Hey, I'm Ellie," I watched Mari as she lied to my cousin. I noticed I wasn't the only shocked, Aish and April were both looking at her as if she was crazy. "Well hello Ellie," Forest replied, "I'm sorry but I spot my group bye," my cousin walked away.

"What the fuck was that," Mari was as suprised as I was when Aish cursed at her, "Who the hell is Ellie?"

"A name?" Mari responded.

"Hey, she didn't want Forest to know her name, so she lied about it," April defended Mari.

"Yeah like Melanie didn't want her to know I called Kelly a bitch," Mari looked at me, as she brought me into the conversation. "She only did that, so you wouldn't get your ass kicked, Forest and Kelly are best friends!" Aish explained to Mari, who now understood the situation.

"Oh, I understand now," Mari said.

"Yeah well try to keep it on the down -" I was cut off by I scream.
