Chapter Sixteen

Melanie’s Pov

 I walked out into the hallway with Mari following behind me, she looked uneasy, I wonder why.  “So what did you need to talk to me about?” Mari-Anna asked.

I felt uncomfortable about telling her, I couldn’t form the words to explain how I thought Aish felt towards her. Finally working out what to say, the words were on the tip of my tongue, but I couldn’t get them out.

“Well,” Mari started looking impatient, “don’t sugar coat it, just tell me. “

“Um, well, um,” I stammered a bit, “Aish-“

I was interrupted by a discreet cough, looking up I saw William staring at me with his green eyes, while leaning on the staircase wall. “Am I interrupting something?” He continued to stare at me and then glanced at Mari.

“Um, no, not at all,” I managed to speak without stuttering. William pushed himself off the wall and casually walked up to where we were standing.

“Good.” he replied with a smile, continuing to stare at me with his bright green eyes.

‘What the hell is his problem?’ I thought trying to break eye contact with him.

“Mari, can I please talk to your friend Aish?” William broke the eye contact between us and looked at his sister.

“Uh, sure? He is in the living room,” Mari looked as if she was confused, but so was I.

‘What could he possibly want to talk to Aish about?’ I nearly got lost in my thoughts, thinking of the possibilities of why he would want to talk to Aish, but I was pulled back into reality.

“Thank you,” William replied, leaving us as he walked into the living room.  Two seconds later April was walking towards us with a frown, I wasn’t going to bother trying to tell her about Aish now. ‘He can do it himself, if he’s not too pussy that is,’ I thought to myself with a smug look.

“Why does your brother want to talk to Aish?” April broke the silence as she asked Mari the question I also wanted to know the answer to.

“I have no idea,” Mari replied as confused as we were.

‘Oh don’t I wish I was a fly on the wall in that room,’ I thought smirking at my own comment. I realized April and Mari had headed upstairs, probably to Mari’s room, I slowly followed them, taking my time, once reaching the room, I entered and closed the door.

Aish’s Pov

“Well, well we meet again, Aish,” William said to me after sending April off to hang around the other two girls.

I scowled, “What are you doing here?”

“Well this is my house, the question is what are you doing here?” William asked. “Look, Aish, I know Finn is here, hiding in the woods like a pathetic coward,” I glared at him, “Why he is here? I could guess, trying to help his sister, who knows absolutely nothing?”

He was right, I knew it and so did he.

“We will destroy you, we will help Mari!” I was starting to feel the anger bubbling up in my stomach.  “We will not give up, so guess what Willy,” I smirked, “you can kiss my ass!”

William was not fazed by my words but it was worth saying them. “Look you little smart ass fuck, Lillian is stronger then the both of you put together! She will rip you a new one.” William cussed at me. All I could do is try not to go into hysterical laughter.

“Oh no, I’m shaking in my boots,” I said sarcastically, smiling the whole time, “You do know my eighty year old grandmother could up with something so much better!” I added.

“Well, isn’t it a pity she’s dead?” William laughed sourly.

William went too far then, I gritted my teeth before getting ready to lunge myself at him, but of course an annoying familiar voice was then crowding my thoughts.

‘Aish! Calm the fuck down! I mean what the fuck?’

I groaned mentally, ‘what do you want Finn? Can’t you see I’m kind of busy?’

‘Oh yeah, I see that…’ Finn sounded calm, well so I thought, ‘WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO? PLAN MY FUNERAL?!’

‘That could be arranged, if you don’t fucking get out of my head,’ I thought, I was ready to punch Finn in the face if I ever saw him.

I looked at William, who had a playful smile on his lips, knowing I was talking to someone in my thoughts.

‘Yeah, yeah, I’m going, try and not to get us killed, you fucking stuck up bitch!’

With that he was gone and my mind was at peace once again.

“Has your precious best friend left you now?” William spoke, provoking me.

“Fuck off. “

I went to punch him in the face, but I was up against the wall, being choked by William’s bare hand. “Keep away from Mari or I swear you will regret ever meeting her.” William clearly explained. He let me go, I gasped for breath, “It will take more then your threats to keep me away from her.”

He scoffed, “Oh and um by the way, thanks for bringing the other little princess here.”

I froze, he knew who Melanie was, and this is not good. “What? You didn’t think I could tell who she was?” He smirked at me.

“Trust me boy, I am stronger and wiser then you think,” he added.

“Stay away from Melanie!”

That gained me nothing but a smirk that faded as we both could hear footsteps coming down the stairs.

“What the hell is going on down here?” Mari-Anna walked into the room, looking a little frustrated.

“Nothing, just a little chat,” William lied to her.

‘I wonder how many times a day, he lies to her,’ I thought with a frown.

“Well could you keep it down?” She asked looking at the both of us.

“We are done,” William replied with a smile.

“Good, come on Aish,” Mari slipped her hand into mine and dragged me up the stairs.

A message was sent to my mind, ‘This isn’t over.’ I knew it was William.

‘No where near over.’

I blocked everything out of my mind and continued into Mari’s room.
