Mari-Anna's Pov
Walking down the hallway, I saw friendly faces, looking at me, that's when the whispering started, keeping my head up, I looked around for Student Reception. The bell blared, nearly killing my ears and students filled the hallways, heading to their classes. Rounding a corner, I bumped into someone, making me fall over and drop my bag. "Oh my, I'm so sorry, I'm such a klutz," I said embarrassed, picking up my stuff that had fallen out of my bag.
"It's okay," a gentle voice filled my ears making me freeze, "I wasn't looking where I was going," I looked up to find a boy looking at me, a very cute boy. My body still frozen I stared at him, a guy was talking to me, I blinked making sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, but he was still there. 'He is gorgeous,' I thought to myself as I stood up and picked up my bag, putting it over my shoulder. Finding my voice, I spoke, "Hey, I'm Mari-Anna Swan," I looked into his pale blue eyes. The boy smiled brightly, "I'm Aish Greene, it's nice to meet you Mari-Anna," he took my hand and kissed it.
"Likewise," I tried not to giggle, feeling the warmness of his hand, I smiled brightly. I was too busy staring at him, forgetting what I was supposed to do, then it hit me. "Ummm, you wouldn't know where Student Reception is, would you? I'm totally lost," I asked, feeling the redness filling my face.
"Yeah, I do, I can take you there if you want?" Aish suggested.
"Would you?" I tried to hide my smile, "I don't want you to be late for class."
"Of course I can, and what kind of gentleman would I be if i didn't help a beautiful girl?" he gestured to walk with him. Walking around a corner and a flight of stairs with neither of us saying a word, we approached a door, clearly saying in bold letters, 'STUDENT RECEPTION.' Aish spoke, "Here it is," he opened the door and directed me inside and up to a desk with a young looking woman behind it, typing away on her computer. Aish cleared his throat, which made the woman look up, "Well good morning Aish, how can I help you?"
"Good morning Rachael and yes, this is Mari-Anna," he gestured to me.
"Oh yes, the new girl," Rachael smiled brightly, "Welcome to Woodsville High, Mari-Anna."
"Thank you, do you have a timetable for me?" I asked politely.
"Yes, I certainly do and I'm sure you and Aish have met so Aish can give you a tour of the school," she handed me a piece of paper. "It would be my pleasure," Aish smiled at me.
"Well then off you go, you are already late as it is," Rachael shooed us out of the office. I checked my timetable, to see I had drama up first, I loved acting, I used to do performances at Meadows High. "So, where would my drama class be?" I asked Aish curiously, who was looking at me with a grin. "This way me lady," Aish gestured down the hall in a British accent. I laughed as she followed him into a big room with a stage area and a group of people in the middle of it.
"Here we are," Aish smiled at me, "your teacher should be here soon, so just relax and explain who you are, when they arrive." Aish headed to the door.
"Wait, where are you going?" I called after him, confused.
"English Literature, just across the hall, wait here for me after class." The bell blared again as he left the room, signalling the start of class.
