Chapter Thirteen

Mari-Anna's Pov

'I'm not crazy, I didn't imagine anything, did I?' I thought, confusingly. "Not like I care," I mumbled. The forest was quiet and peaceful as I walked into a clearing and sat on a nearby stone. A rustle of a tree, made me look up, 'I swear, I can feel someone watching me,' I thought, I guess I was just paranoid.

After a couple of moments of complete silence I heard a voice, "I tohught I would meet you sometime today," I froze, not recognizing the voice at all. I slowly turned around and found a squirrel, 'What I can talk to fucking animals now?' I frowned and turned back around as something moved in the corner of my eye.

"You think you can talk to animals now? Don't you?" I heard the voice again.

"Wh-who's there?" I asked trying not to sound scared. Another movement caught my eye, 'I swear if this is some kid trying to scare,  I will-,'

My thoughts were cut off, "You will what? Hurt me?" the voice spoke again.

"Okay this is stupid, come out, whoever you are," she said with annoyance.

A chuckle came from above me, "Well maybe if you look up, you will see me," I could hear the amusement in the mysterious voice.

I looked up to find a boy with a mischievous smile. "Who are you and what are you doing up there?" i stuttered. The boy jumped from the tree and landed on his feet with no struggle, he then faced me. I looked at him curiously, examining him from head to toe. He had messy brown hair with, I guess pale blue with a hint of silver, eyes, his body was slim but he had muscles, and a six pack. Only then did i realise he was shirtless, "Um, where's your shirt?" I asked nervously.

He must of been studying me too, he lifted his head to look at me with a huge grin, and then grabbed a shirt that was on the ground near the tree. "I'm sorry, if I scared you before," the boy asked with a smug smile.

"You didn't scare me," I lied.

"Mhm," he smirked at me, "So, what yo-" i cut him off.

"Oh no, you better tell me who you are right now."

"Oops, mind my manners, I'm Finn," he bowed as he introduced himself, " I thought you would recognize me, Mari-Anna."

"How do you know my name?" I asked accusingly.

"God, you ask so many questions," he frowned at me, "you're just like father."

I was stunned, "I think i need to sit down," I sat down with my back against a tree, "Okay so now you know who my father is? Have you been stalking me?"

Finn looked at me, insulted, "No, I'm your brother."

"Whoa, no, my brother's name is William."

"William?" He looked at me with fear in his eyes.

"Yes, William." I began to start walking back down the path I had came, when Finn stood in front of me and grabbed my arm.

"William isn't your brother, Mari, dont trust him," Finn said to me, pleadingly.

"What are you on about? And if you don't let go of me and get out of my way, i swear, I will scream."

Finn's grasp on my arm softened and he let me go, I ran the rest of the way back to the school, when I heard the bell ring loudly and students poured out of the building.

Finn's Pov

'She's going to get herself killed,' I thought to myself, kicking the nearest stone. "I finally found my sister and she doesn't even know who I am? And William is her brother?" I sighed, "They have brainwashed her, I guess she was only five when she disappeared." Our parents went missing a week after she did. I was left with no one but myself, I found Mari and I let her go. She seemed scared of me, I hated it, I mean I'm her brother!

"Oh well no use pondering over it now is it Finn," I looked up to find her, a girl with dark hair and brown eyes, with a devious smile.

"You," I scowled, "Of course you would be involved in this somehow."

"Well, what can I say, I want to be queen, Finn," the girl said to me.

"You will never be queen!"

"You sure of that? I mean who has complete control over your sister?"

"If you touch he-" I was cut off by her amused laugh.

"What will you do Finn, you know very well, I am stronger then you."

I was suddenly slammed into a tree, as she stared at me with her eyes, I had the air knockout of me and I fell to the ground. I watched as the girl walked away with nothing but a glance back at me.

'I will get you for this Lillian,' I thought as I tried to breathe again.
