Chapter Fourteen

Mari-Anna's Pov

I spotted Aish, April and Mel, remembering what happened before I took off, as I slowly walked through other students, I debated if I should stand with them or by myself. Just before I was about to go somewhere else I heard, a familiar voice call out my name and knew I had been seen. I turned to see Aish's pale blue eye, full with concern, looking into my own. "Hey," I said quietly.

"Where have you been Mari, I've been worrying about you since you left," Aish did seem worried, I sighed wondering if I should tell Aish about Finn. Deciding not to, all I said was, "I went for a walk to clear my head."

" Hey Mari, where were you in science?  You ditched me,"  I looked at a slightly annoyed April and smiled weakly.

"As I said to Aish I went for a walk," I then noticed a very quiet Melanie looking at her feet.

"Look Mel, I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier," I tried to smile.

She returned the smile and  replied with "It's okay."

Looking back over to the entrance of the forest, where a very frustrated Finn stood, he looks in pain, 'I hope hes okay,' I thought to myself.

"Mari?" I was pulled out of my thoughts by Aish who still looked worried.

"I'm fine, I promise," I smiled at him and looked into his eyes. I wish I could tell him about Finn and about what I told Melanie, but I think one embarrassing moment was enough.

I noticed Aish's face light up as I was thinking, I frowned at him with curiosity. "What are you thinking about?" I asked.

"Oh nothing," Aish smiled innocently at me.

Aish's Pov

I know I lied to Mari about what I was thinking but she couldn't know. Hearing her thoughts about Finn was just exciting. I hadn't seen Finn in years, 'Oi Finn, what are you doing here?' I tried sending him a message through my thoughts.

'Aish? Mate, where are you? I found my sister.' I could clearly hear his message.

'I know, I'm with her.'

'Good, keep an eye on her.'

Of course, giving orders as always, I smirked and heard Mari saying her goodbyes as her brother pulled into the parking lot. Trying to find a way to stay with her, I thought quickly, deciding on the best option I ran after Mari-Anna. "Mari! Hey do you think we could come over?" I asked, hoping  she would say yes.

"Uh, sure, why not," her smile reached up to her ears and I returned the smile. I called over April and Mel, "You cool with hanging at Mari's?"

"Sure," both girls replied with no hesitation.

Meeting up at her brother's car, I heard Mari asking him if we could hang out, he didn't seem to have a problem with it. I hopped in the backseat if the SUV with the two girls as Mari hopped in the front. I turned to her brother and was shocked to see the same green eyes that used to haunt me. 'William,' I thought. ' What is Mari doing with him?!'

William seemed to recognize me too as his smile widened, "Nice to meet you, I'm William," he greeted us all. 'Except you Aish, nice to see you again,' the voice in my head was William. 'Get the fuck out of my head,' I replied, trying not to show facial expressions.

'Finn, why the hell is she with William?'

'So it is true, he kidnapped her,' I could hear him sigh in my mind.

'Why?'

'He's waiting for Lillian.'

The mention of that name made me feel sick, all Lillian wanted was to become Queen, no matter what it takes to get there. I felt someone nudge me, I looked at Melanie who had dragged me out of my thoughts. "We are here," she frowned at me but that faded as she got out of the car. I looked at the nice white cottage with trees surrounding it.  I hopped out of the car and walked to the front door with the girl's. I noticed Mari who seemed lost in thought 'Finn must be trying to communicate with her,' i thought and continued into the house.
