Ellie and I are already in the venue. It's not that big but just good for the launch of the book. We met with the boys in the lounge. Ms. Johnson was also there.
Everyone was so busy until I asked them to leave me for a moment to focus since I'm really not good in answering interviews. When I do, my answers may be way to far from the topic or I'll just answer yes or no without explaining why. I'm bad at this.
I stare outside the window and tried to relax myself as I look at the pouring raindrops at the window.
"Hi."
I look at my left and Harry was standing beside me. His hands inside his trouser's pockets and looks outside like I do.
"Hello." I say without looking at him and smiled. "Why aren't you joining them? It's your day." He says and looks behind him. "I prefer to be alone for the moment." I say. "Oh, I'm sorry." He says and moves a little away from me. "But you can stay." I say and traced the raindrops at the window. He comes back to the his place and we both went silent.
"I'm nervous." I say. "Why? You shouldn't be." "I don't know. It's my first interview and I can't handle things like this. I don't know how to entertain question. I can answer questions if it is written but not orally. I easily lose focus." I tell him. "Just be yourself. Don't get nervous. It's just me and you and the media later." Harry says. "I mean, me, you and the boys." He corrects. "Whatever is in your mind, just say it so that it won't bother you after." He adds.
"Can I ask you a random question? Do you think we've met before?" I ask him as I placed my hand down from the window. "I wish we did. You seem nice. Everyone says that, so, I wished we had met before." He says and from my side I can see him looking at me. "Thank you for the fan fiction." He says and I looked at him. Our eyes met and he smiles. "You're always welcome." I say and we were called by Ms. Johnson as the launching will start. "Don't be nervous." Harry says and we both walked away from each other.
"He talked to you! What did he say?" Ellie asks me. "That I won't be nervous." I answer with a smile.
He was still the Harry I knew. That supportive love of mine.
The launch started by introducing the boys, the other authors who wrote fan fictions to Liam, Louis, Niall, Zayn and to then five and the last was me who wrote the latest fan fiction for Harry.
The first part of the launch was Mary Evans talking about her story of Zayn and Niall, the two lads also joined the talk. The next was Merida Nelson and Liam talking about their fan fiction and Tawnee Green and Louis together. Their questions were very simple since they have been in each launches before and they already have toured with the lads.
The next was me, my hands are trembling as soon as everyone's attention is at me now. They first talked to Harry about how he sees the fan fiction.
"It was brilliant. Uhm, everything is detailed. It seemed that Tara has searched everything about me even my little things. It...it really surprised me." Harry says. "How about the title?" Asks the interviewer. "It has a very simple title but once you read it, you'll get attached to it. I'm already at chapter eighteen? Something like that. It was ace." He answers with a nod.
"To Tara." The interviewer says and I woke up from staring at Harry while he was talking. "Don't get nervous." He says to me with his microphone down and his eyes just smiles to me.
"What is the story all about? Can you give us some details?" "Uhm, the...the story is all about a fangirl writing a fan fiction about Harry and everything she writes happens. It's every fangirl's dream. I know since I, myself is a fangirl and fan fictions is our way to escape reality and create scenes with our idols that we want to happen with them." I answer. Was my answer even right? I was just saying what is inside my head. "Good day, Tara. Your story seems so great. How did you manage to write a very romantic story like that?" Asks the interviewer. "It's really great." Harry says over the microphone and smiled. "Ah, thank you." I looked at Harry. "My story isn't that romantic. It has a mix of romance, comedy and drama, even fantasy. Since no one... No one would come out from... It won't happen in real..." I got lost, I shouldn't say this. Harry was about to put his microphone close to his mouth but I then continued. "It won't happen in real life." I say. "I'm sorry I got lost." I add with a smile. "And how was it managing a story like that?" The interviewer repeats and I guess I didn't answer her question.
"I just placed myself in the girl's situation and with inspiration and some motivation too, I had created a story like this." I answer. "Is it true that you fell in love with the character of Harry in your story?" Another interviewer asks and I just feel so shy to answer it. I looked at Harry and he had a grin on his face.
"Yes, I did. I had to love the character so that the outcome would be realistic, something like that. Gah. Why would you ask me questions like that? I'm shaking." I say with a laugh and everyone does the same. "I'm really nervous. I'm bad at interviews. I'm sorry." I say and laughed. "Next please. Gah." I add and looked at Harry who was laughing. "Okay, Tara, have you ever thought that this would happen in real life? Writing something and it would happen?"
It did happen already.
"It can happen. Well, in my opinion. I believe that it really would." I answer and everyone looked confused. "Us fangirls, our imaginations are so massive we think that impossible things can happen, sometimes." I say with a smile and just reasoned out.
I'm still trembling until now. They talked about the tour, the book, the fans, and even my love life!
Everyone had a few grub and had copy of my book, it was really amazing. When the launch ends and everyone had to go, Ms. Johnson calls us for thanks.
"It was a very successful day. Thank you so much, One Direction. Mary, Merida, Tawnee, thank you for coming. To Tara, well today is the start of everything great. Welcome to our team in footprints." Ms. Johnson says and I smiled.
It has been a fantastic day for me, seeing the lads and being a part of Footprints. I take my phone out of my bag and started to eat it at the lounge whilst waiting for some pointers that the boys' management will tell me for the tour next week. Ellie had left since Chris needed, I told her I'll be fine as I'll take a cab since Chris called her.
"Hello."
"Hi, Niall." I smile and he sits on the couch, opposite to mine. "Congratulations for having a book! I hope when I have time I'll try to read it. Everyone says it's really good." He says and puts his feet up on the table. "Why aren't you going home yet?" He asks. "I'm waiting for your management. For the tour next week." I answer. "Wow. You're going on tour with us to promote your book." "I'm slightly nervous and excited at the same time." I say and he grins. He leans forward putting his elbows on his knees. "You're coming with us for the whole tour, do you know that?" Niall says and I was shocked. I didn't know that! Am I going to promote my book forever?
I shake my head in response. "No." I said.
"I didn't know that." I say. "Oh, sh^t, I guess I've said it first than them." Niall says as he looks around to see if someone has heard what he said. We both laughed.
"Ms. Shaw. I'm Adam Harmel, I'll be handling you throughout the tour." He says as I stand and acknowledge him. "Glad to meet you, sir." I say. "Please do call me Adam. I'm part of the team and you don't need to call me sir. I hope you would be comfortable soon with me." He says.
I wouldn't fine that creepy since he is absolutely good looking and he looks so young like the boys' age. Why would they let someone handle me that has the same age with the boys though?
"I just want to ask when will your exams finish?" He asks. "This Friday." I answer. "Brilliant. We'll be leaving on Saturday evening. I have your phone number, address and your other information. I'll call you for details soon. Oh, wait, I forgot to give you something. I'll be back in a minute." He says and walks away.
I sat down and asked Niall, "How old is he?" I ask. "Twenty-four." Niall answers. "He's so young!" "Yeah. He's just new here but he's a cool mate. Most of our women crew has a crush on him." Niall says with a smile. "He's attractive." I say and we both laughed. "I didn't know him. Is he on Twitter?" "Yeah. I guess his Twitter is Adam Harmel." Niall answers. I went to Twitter and searched for Adam.
I found him and he has half a million followers. I was surprised why didn't I know anything about him? I guess it is because I haven't been so active in my fangirl account.
"He sometimes becomes our stylist. He's really great with clothes." Niall adds. "Hi." I hear a voice behind me and I turn my head to where I heard it. It was Harry. He sits down beside Niall and puts his feet up on the table.
"Congratulations on your first book." Harry says with a smile. "Thank you." "You were great in the interview." Harry adds. "I still lost my words but I'll try to... Uhm, work on it." I say with a smile. "Adam's going to handle her." Niall says to him and Harry looks at Niall. "Throughout the tour?" Harry asks. "Yeah!" Niall nods.
Adam comes back with a few papers on his hand.
"You're going to handle her?" Harry looks at Adam. "Yes." He nods with a smile. "Make sure you take care of her since she wrote my story." Harry says and we laughed. "I'm serious!" Harry says yet we're still laughing. "Here's your schedule. That's it. You may go now." He says and I accept the envelope he gave me where my schedule is. Adam walks away and I stand up.
"He finds Adam attractive." Niall says to Harry. "Every girl does. Maybe soon he'll be in the group. Do you like that?" Harry asks me and I shake my head. "No. I like the five of you. It's enough." I say. "I guess I have to go now. I'll see you on Saturday." I smiled to them and they both stand. "Please tell Louis, Liam and Zayn, thank you too." I tell them. "See you." Niall gives me a hug. "I'll see you soon." Harry says and reaches me a hug as well. "Where's your friend?" Harry asks. "Oh, she went home. Her boyfriend needs her." I answer.
"How are you going home?" Niall asks. "I'll...I'll take a cab or a bus." I answer. "No." Harry objects and Niall and I looked at him. "Won't Adam drive you to your home?" Niall asks. "Why won't you come with us?" Harry asks. "No. It would be embarrassing. I could take a cab." I answer and walked a few steps backwards. "I have to go now. I still have exams tomorrow." I say. "I'll see you on Saturday. Thank you." I walked away but then I felt so conscious that they're still looking at me, I forgot how to walk.
I took a cab and when back to my flat.
I'm really happy with Harry's support. It just makes me miss more of him. I know as soon as the tour starts, I'll get over this thing I have with him. I hope so.
