Info: I love the game and this part as well and I think this is really going to be a bit emotional. It's based off the game but a few changes and whatnot. Also shout out to the person who made the gif and to the creator of the Au as well. Props to them. Anyway this is the scene where Lance tries and saved his father from the accident but instead got Keith paralysed. He needs to make a choice. Ugh

Lance Pov
I rushed towards Keith place but my pace slows down seeing his house not broken down or run down. I hesitated as I walked towards his front door. I knocked and I was surprised to see Keith's dad again. He looks well and alive. "Oh Lance, how you been? Been awhile" I nod and smiled softly "Yeah it has been. Uh where's Keith?" He steps aside and I gasp seeing him come towards me in a chair. I sigh as he smiles "Hey Lance. Been awhile?" I nod not believing Keith can't walk or move. "Keith?"

We walked down towards the beach as it was silent and awkward towards us. I messed up. I didn't intend Keith to be like this? "So when were you gonna tell me you were back?" I gasp a bit "Oh. I was just moving things in so it took time." He chuckles "You know it's been awhile since we did anything." "Yeah." He eyes me a bit before he sighs

"Its weird isn't it?" I shake my head "it's not weird-" "Shut the fuck up. Admit it you're weirded out by this. Me in a chair and not able to move anything below my neck." I sigh "Keith its not weird because you're still you. You're still my best friend." He sighs "Of course." It's silent for a bit before I ask "How's Shiro?" "Who?" Wait? Doesn't he remember him?

"Uh takashi shirogane?" He shakes his head "Nope. Never met the guy. I heard about him but never really talked." I nod "Why?" I shrug "I thought you would since you stayed here..sorry" "I haven't heard of him in awhile. Last I heard he was during things that were illegal and whatnot. Not my scene Lance." I nod

"sorry i asked. Hey remember when we were 8 we used to play space rangers?" He smiles and chuckles "Yeah. We were such dorks but hey it was fun. Especially when you fell and broke your arm on the swing." I laughed "Yeah my mom wasn't too happy" he smirks "Hey want to sleepover my place? Just like old times?"

I nodded "Yeah sure I would like that." He starts to move and I follow "Man I'm excited now." It was better seeing Keith happy then unhappy. Also he looks really different without his tattoos and his red streak in his dark hair. But his eyes always stayed those beautiful lavender.

When we got back I helped him into his bed and he seemed to relax. "Sorry I'm useless." I smile softly "Hey it's not your fault and it doesn't bother me." I sit beside him before he starts coughing "Uh can you get my meds it's upstairs. I would get them but you know" "Oh yeah of course. Be right back" I get up and walk towards the door.

As I left his room I see his dad writing things down "Hey Mr. Kogane" "Hey Lance. Thanks again to keep Keith happy and hopeful." "Well I'm trying my best." "Good. Is there anything you need?" It was so weird seeing him here again. Knowing how Keith's life turned out after he passed away. And then his mother leaving him here alone.

"Uh no not right now." He smiled and goes back to what he was doing. I go upstairs but before I go into his old room I see his parents room. I knocked and heard a small voice "Come in" I opened the door and there was Keith's mother. Laying on her bed reading a book "Oh Lance, how are you honey?" It felt bittersweet.

She left poor Keith alone when he was only 15. But seeing her full of life almost seems odd. "I'm fine. How are you? Been awhile?" "Oh yeah I'm fine. Just a bit stressed with Keith's medical bills. At this rate we might have to sell the house and move." Oh that didn't sound good. "Oh that doesn't sound too good."
