*After Bus Ride*

Nothing bothered us on the bus, which was a relief. I had used up all my energy the day before, so I slept the entire ride.

"Y/n?" Asked Leo, lighting rubbing my back. It was a kind gesture, but his thrashing arms and legs had left me bruised all over, and even the lightest touch sent pain throughout my body.

"Yea, yea, I'm up," I said, standing up. My body was sore, but I'd be fine. I could at least try to heal myself a little bit.

"We're back in New York," said Nyssa. It's our last day for the quest."

"So we have to go to Mount Olympus now?" I asked groggily.

"Yea. Your dad needs his laurel wreath back," said Nyssa.

"I still don't understand why he sent me on this quest," I said.

"Maybe to prove yourself," suggested Leo.

"It doesn't matter. We need to get to Mount Olympus," interceded Nyssa.

"Hold on guys. I need to contact Will" I said, pulling a drachma out of my bag. I did the ritual and soon Will was in view.

"Will," I said, my smile brightening, "I need you to forge me some arrows. We got attacked by um...by sirens. I've got barely any left and I don't trust anything here."

"On it. Shane!" He called. "Plan C arrows! Needs a transport to quiver 106!"

"Sure thing," I heard from somewhere away from Will.

"They should be there in the next hour. It's as quick as I can get them," he said.

"Thanks. We need to go. I'm on my way to uhto meet dad," I said.

"Oh."

"Yea."

"Okay. Well, be careful."

"I will. You're the best," I said, smiling.

The Iris Message began to collapse, and soon nothing was there anymore.

I kinda felt upset, and I missed Will. He had been my first helper when I was claimed and just made me feel welcomed. Kayla, too. I had to succeed in this quest and keep my friends alive.

"Mount Olympus is only a few blocks away. We should be able to get there in the next hour," said Nyssa.

"If there are no monsters. Which there almost always are," I said.

"We should get going then," said Leo, lazily playing with small flames on his fingers.

Magical. Insanely scary, but magical.

We started off fine. That was, until a huge Earthborn grabbed Leo from behind. I heard him scream, and I turned, heart pounding.

I had no idea what he was at the time, but Leo later explained.

I grabbed an arrow from behind me, along with my bow. I wasn't as nimble as I needed to be. The Earthborn grabbed me too, leaving only Nyssa.

Nyssa didn't have powers, nor was she a true fighter. She at least knew how to use a sword.

The Earthborn began climbing up a building, me and Leo clenched in each fist.

How he managed to climb with only his feet, I don't want to know.

Nyssa climbed after him, slicing at his feet. They momentarily formed into sludge, but then reformed seconds later.

"Nyssa! If you slice him in half, he won't be able to reform!" Leo screamed.

"Puny demigod! You can't defeat me. Don't listen to her!" Yelled the Earthborn, eyeing Nyssa.

Leo yelled and kicked and struggled, trying to break free. He hadn't done much to help the quest, and I kinda felt bad. I could tell he was starting to feel like a burden; he thought that he was just making things harder.

He was wrong.

He just kept getting trapped. Each time something happened, he was forced to refrain from helping.

Nyssa took another climb, starting to get really high.

She swung, not doing much damage. She swung again, this time turning him into a permanent pile of sludge. Nyssa still clung to the building, but Leo and I fell.

Music and Fire will take a fall,
The chances of surviving are small.
