Chiron...What Happened?

After I came out of the shower, Chiron was waiting for me. It was odd that he had come into the cabin for me. This meant that it had to be really important.

"Chiron?"

"Yes, I know, it's very odd for me to be in your cabin, but I felt I needed to fetch you myself. What happened to you—its a very grave matter. I want to know the whole story. After lunch, come to the big house and we will discuss everything."

"Okay."

He walked—or trotted, rather, out of my cabin.

I walked outside, ready to go to the archery field. However, everyone was already on their way to lunch, so I just decided to join them.

Will's nectar had helped with the not-having-eaten problem, but I still needed to eat. Since it was lunch, I joined my cabin and proceeded to tell them my story.

I kept catching glances from Leo, and we would smile. He kept giving me concerned looks, but I kept trying to make him relax. I was fine, (maybe sorta kinda almost in a way) but Leo and his usual self couldn't stop worrying about people he cared about.

*After Lunch*

Leo came up to me.

"Hey," he said, putting an arm around me.

"Hey," I smiled.

"You wanna be on my team for the chariot races? I told Kayla that if you weren't back by the race that she could be my partner, but since  your back..."

"Yea, sure. But are they like...real chariots?"

"Yea. Super cool."

"Seems fun," I laughed.

"It is. We have all day from lunch until curfew to work on them every day until the race."

"Oh. Do you need me to work on it right now? Chiron needed to talk to me."

"Chiron?"

"Yea. He came to my cabin. He said it was really important."

"Yea, I need your help on it, since you'll be in it. See you after you two talk?"

"Yea. I'll be back soon."

Leo pecked me on the cheek, then walked off. I turned and headed for the Big House.

"Ah, y/n," said Chiron.

"Chiron."

"Thanks for coming. Your whole experience in the Labyrinth—that wasn't me or your father. In fact, we have no idea how you disappeared."

"Everyone must've been scared out of their minds."

"Yes, many of the campers were quite worried about it. Monsters can't get into the magical borders without permission, and the last time an animal attacked a camper within the borders...it was Luke Castellan who had summoned it."

I had heard the name thrown around a few times.

"He led the Kronos war...on Kronos' side, correct?"

"Yes. Kronos inhabited the body of Luke. But that is another matter for another time. I brought you here for your problem."

"Yes, sorry Chiron."

"Tell me everything that happened, in detail."

I told him everything that had happened; the Labyrinth, the cyclops, the journey back to camp.

"It isn't as odd as it seems. Time passes differently in the Labyrinth. You were probably asleep for only a couple of days down there."

"But I still don't understand how I could've gotten there. How come my siblings didn't wake up, or hear anything weird?"

"I don't know. I already questioned them after you had gone missing."

"I'm scared it might happen again, or to another camper."

"I do not know what to make of this. We will have to contact some old friends. You can go. If I find anything new, I'll send for you."

"Thank you, Chiron."

"Be careful, y/n. You are a good camper."

"Please, Chiron. Very kind."

"Good work comes from good encouragement."

I smiled and walked out. Chiron was a good confidante, but so was Leo. I decided to find him.
