Seokjin wakes up to hear someone shuffling around in the living room. His body tenses up and he quiets down, getting up from the couch and staring at the shadow coming from the kitchen.
"W-who's there?"
"Ah, you're finally awake!"
He breathes a sigh of relief as he hears Hoseok's cheery voice. "O-oh, Hoseok."
"Yeah, I bought some treats for you. I heard you didn't come to work today."
Seokjin rubbed his eyes blearily, smiling as Hoseok presents a paper bag of warm cookies and muffins. "Your mother makes the best." Seokjin laughed as Hoseok stuffed his mouth with an entire cookie.
"Well, why do you think she owns a bakery?" Hoseok sets down a mug of warm milk which Seokjin takes gratefully, crossing his legs and groaning as Hoseok dived onto the couch next to him.
"Where's that cute boyfriend of yours?" Hoseok looks around curiously. "Asleep?"
Seokjin tenses up, shooting a worried smile towards Hoseok. "He's out—getting, erm, groceries. And he's not my boyfriend."
Hoseok frowned. "You sent your new boyfriend to get groceries?"
"Y-yeah."
Hoseok stared intensely at Seokjin, who sipped his sweet milk nervously. A knock at the door quickly broke the two's awkward silence and Hoseok got up to open the door, leaving Seokjin to breath a sigh of relief.
"Oh, you did send him to get groceries."
"What?" Seokjin jumped to his feet and peeked around Hoseok to whoever was standing at the door and paled when he saw Taehyung's muscular figure holding a plastic bag of some sort of object.
Taehyung raised his hand in greeting, and Seokjin gulped, laughing nervously as Hoseok dragged Taehyung and Seokjin into the house.
"Ah, you're so rude, Jinnie, sending your boyfriend to do your chores." Hoseok laughs brightly with Taehyung, who chuckled lowly, while Seokjin desperately tried to hide his burning cheeks.
"I told you, Hoseokie," he gritted his teeth, forcing a smile up at Taehyung, "we're not in a relat—"
"It was nothing; I'd do anything for my angel."
Seokjin squeaked in shock as Taehyung wrapped an arm around him, making Hoseok stifle a laugh, which was quite difficult for the younger as he was a naturally cheerful person.
"You're so bad at lying." Hoseok rummaged around his backpack and fished out another paper bag. "I got some for you, too, cutie!" He shoved the bag in Taehyung's chest with a wink. "Take care of my Seokjinnie well~! I'm gonna go hang out with Yoongi. See you!"
"Wait; Hoseok—!"
The door slammed shut and Seokjin's jaw was frozen open in shock. He heard a hearty, too deep chuckle behind him and Seokjin nervously turned around. The taller male had a cut on his forehead that had been poorly patched up.
"I-"
"Shh, angel." Taehyung shoved the bag into Seokjin's arms. "I got you a gift as apology. Jimin decided it would be fucking funny to scare you—using me."
Seokjin tensed up. "Jimin's—?"
Taehyung cocked an eyebrow. "You didn't know? Yeah, Jimin's a vampire just like me."
"But Namjoon!"
"Namjoon's completely fine with it. And you should be too: not all of us are scary and frightening idiots, y'know." Taehyung yawns, revealing perfectly square teeth.
"I don't understand." Seokjin tilted his head as Taehyung fished a muffin out of his bag, staring at it with a child's curiosity.
He sniffed the pastry and took a nibble out of it before turning to Seokjin. "Understand what?"
"It said you'd die once splashed with holy water." Seokjin carefully inched closer to Taehyung.
Taehyung accidentally gripped the muffin too hard and crumbled it into two pieces, making Seokjin flinch.
"Do I look that weak to you?" Taehyung set the muffin down and shook his bangs out of his eyes. "Do I?"
Seokjin blushed scarlet and shrugged, fidgeting with his sleeves. "I don't know, my research—"
"From what? Twilight? Myths? Legends?" Taehyung laughed and rolled his eyes. "Nothing's more false than the internet, angel."
Seokjin's face went redder than it possibly could, and he quickly spun around. "Um, this may be, erm, quite rude of me to ask, but, could you... leave?"
Taehyung cocked an eyebrow.
"Please?"
Taehyung seated himself down on the coffee table, crossing his arms. "And why should I?"
Seokjin forced a smile on his face. "Last time you were in my house, you tried to drink my blood."
Taehyung stiffened up at that. "Yes, well, I'm not as hungry as I was yesterday."
Seokjin's eyes narrowed. "What's that supposed to mean?"
Taehyung continued to play with the muffin boredly. "You decide what that's supposed to mean."
Seokjin frowned, ultimately confused at the reply. "So you ate someone? To stop being hungry?"
He simply shrugged again and stood, making Seokjin flinch. "W-watch it." He stuttered, as Taehyung drew closer to him. His fists clenched around the paper bag that Taehyung had given him as Taehyung smirked and leaned closer to Seokjin's face until his back hit the wall. He let out a frightened noise as Taehyung slammed his hand next to his head, and Seokjin squeezed his eyes shut when he felt Taehyung's hot breath under his earlobe.
"I'm surprised you haven't heard of me, pretty boy." Taehyung's teeth scraped down gently on his neck and Seokjin whimpered, biting the inside of his cheek and willing himself not to cry.
"S-stop." Seokjin choked out as Taehyung suckled on the side of his neck. His heart started to hammer in his chest, and his legs went weak as Taehyung let out a soft breath. "Taehyung, stop—!"
"Oh, am I interrupting?"
Taehyung growled and spun around, spotting Jimin's nimble figure on the couch. To Seokjin's horror, his eyes were a dark shade of red and as he grinned, he revealed sharp fangs, with Namjoon sitting closely behind, cheeks red.
"Hi, hyung." Namjoon waved weakly, one of his hands clamping his bandaged neck.
"Namjoon? What are you—what's wrong with your neck?!" Seokjin shoved Taehyung away and sped over to Namjoon, inspecting his neck. He glared accusingly at Jimin, who grinned back. "Did yo-you suck his blood?" He spun around to face Namjoon. "And you let him?!"
"Seokjin—"
"That's unacceptable! Do you even know the consequences? You could get disease—bad luck! Iron deficiency, blood loss!" Seokjin flicked Namjoon's forehead, making the purple haired male scowl.
"Seokjin, all those are false rumors." Namjoon mumbled, rubbing his forehead as Jimin chuckled.
"We're clean." Jimin smiled up at Taehyung who snorted in annoyance. "We may drink a lot of blood but we still brush our teeth, y'know. And bad luck? Where the hell did you get that from? Blood loss? Unless we drink for more than ten minutes, yeah sure you'd lose a couple gallons of blood."
Seokjin went pale.
"Don't you worry your pretty little brain, Jinnie." Jimin smirked. "Our saliva has healing properties."
Seokjin simply shook his head as Namjoon tried to explain in more detail.
"Get out!"
