when Christmas time rolls around
something always reminds me
that you've passed on to
another realm
Christmas has never been the same
Since you've gone
It never will be
It lacks a certain laughter
It has a few less smile wrinkles
But my new memories help
To ease the pain
Of losing you
Only days before it was
Jesus' birthday
Oh, how I wish
You could have lived
To celebrate it with us
Knowing my Grandma was dead
On Christmas morning
Knowing that she passed away days
Earlier
It hit me like a fucking freight train
Made of brick
Christmas did not feel like Christmas
And it never would again
I lost the joy of holidays
When I lost the joy
You gave me.
