Chapter 2

(Skip one week)
  Tris POV
For a week I have been thinking about those blue eyes. Then one day before school I see him limping. I run over to him, my heart pounding, and ask: "Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine." he says, but avoids my eyes. "What's your name?" I ask the queation that had been running through my head for a week now.
"Tobias Eaton. What's yours?"
"Beatrice Prior. Are you sure you're okay? Want to talk about it?" I ask, trying my best to remain polite, but the truth is I want to help him with everything I can. I tell myself it's just the Abnegation in me.
"Not here!" he says with fear in his eyes. "Okay, well. You don't have to tell me, I'm just a stranger, but if you do, want to meet here after school so we can go talk somewhere in private?" I suggest.
"Okay. I'd actually like if I had someone I could trust. See you then."
With that Tobias is off. I head to first class, wondering what it he meant, someome tk trust. Doesn't he have someone? Well, he can trust me.
 
After school I see Toby already there. Yeah, I desided to call him Toby, I hope he doesn't mind. "Hey Toby!" I greet a bit shyly.
"Toby?" he asks, a smile tugging the corner of his lips.
"Yeah, you don't mind, do you?" I ask.
"Not at all Bea!" he says with a slight grin. "Bea?" I ask, furrowing my brows.
"Yeah, you don't mind, do you?" he asks mimicking my words.
"Not at all." I say with a grin.
"Come with me, I decided to try this trust thing. That's it, I mean, if you want to", he says, suddenly shy.
"Okay."
 
Tobias POV
Bea follows me silently to my secret place. When we arrive there she asks: "Why were you limping?" "Well, my father abuses me. With a belt, a hand and words." She looks shocked. All of a suden she hugs me. I stiffen at first, but soon relax and hug her back. When we seperate I say "Thank you." "From what?" "For not looking at me like I'm somekinda kicked puppy or something." "Well you're not. I think you're brave." she says. "Will you be my friend?" I ask shyly. "Yes of course!" Now I hug her. Since we're both from abnegation she stiffens at first like I did, but soon relaxes and hugs back. "I'm really sorry, but I have to to." she says. "Okay, see you tomorrow Bea!" "Bye Toby!" I walk home happy. I haven't been this happy since mom left.
