The Argument That Broke Me - JIMIN

"Fuck you." is the last thing Jimin says before you leave to your room. He's way too upset to apologize so you both knew he'd be sleeping on the sofa.

You two got into an argument over Jimin being too touchy with someone else at the bar. You knew he was always too touchy and flirty when he was drunk but because you were drunk as well, you saw it differently. You claimed that he made out with the other person and he denied it. You two were ready to yell at each other at the bar but your friends had to separate you both and take you home in separate cars so you wouldn't kill each other on their watch. When they got you both home they had tried to get you two to stop arguing but they gave up when Jimin pushed them out of the apartment. Your friends, Hoseok and Yoongi were slightly worried for you because they thought Jimin would hurt you but they knew Jimin didn't have it in him and that he'd probably just cry the entire time you were yelling at him.

The arguing got to the point where neither of you could take back what you said due to the pride you both carried. You both rarely got into arguments because you two would deal with disagreements in a more mature manner. This time was very different because you both are drunk. Both of you took too many shots and you knew you wouldn't be able to handle it but you had to prove to each other and the others that you could. Now neither of you can think straight and have said hurtful things you two would never even think of when sober. As soon as your body hits the bed, you fall asleep.

You wake up and immediately your head starts hurting and you feel like you're about to vomit. You run to the bathroom only to see Jimin with his face in the toilet. He gets up and wipes his mouth. He motions for you to take his spot and you do. He sits beside you and holds your hair back as you purge. Once you stop, you smack his hand away and tell him to get out. He opens his mouth as if to say something but then he gets up and stands by the door.

"Even though I know you won't apologize, I will because I love you. I'm really sorry for what I said to you last night. Being drunk isn't an excuse to say those cruel things." Jimin apologizes. You close the door on him and lock it without saying a word. He sits on the ground beside the bathroom door. He stays there until he dozes off. You stay locked in the bathroom vomiting and crying. You know it's your turn to apologize but you don't want to do it.

When you're ready, you get out of the bathroom. You walk out to see Jimin barely waking up. He gets up and follows you to the bedroom and gets inside before you have a chance to close it.

"Get out." You say through gritted teeth.

"No, we need to talk about this." Jimin says trying to get you to talk to him. Hes always the one in the relationship to fix whatever you two are going through.

"Well, I don't want to. Now get out." You say without hesitation. A majority of you means it but there's a small part of you that wants him to hold you.

"Alright, I'll get out but I'm not coming back. The second I walk out that door, we're over." He threatens to break up with you. You look up at him but you don't say a word.

"I'm dead serious. There's no point in trying to fix this if you're going to be like that. It isn't my fault you thought you saw me cheating. You should be the one to apologize, you should have said it first but I love you and I want us to be us again. It's clear to me that you don't want that so I'm done." He says as he walks away. You expect you're going to stop him or at least say something back but you don't. You watch him walk to the front door. He stops after he puts his hand on the door knob. He looks back at you and thinks about how you're letting him go away so easily, showing him that you obviously don't love him if you're going to watch him leave your life over something completely stupid. He slowly pulls the door open, hoping you'd stop him but you don't. He looks back at you one more time before he finally leaving and closing the door behind him. He waits for a minute to see if you'd come after him but of course you don't. He walks away feeling his heart break into a million pieces.
