Grayson P.O.V

*A few weeks later*

Melanie and I were just laying on the couch and watching Stranger Things. We were all cuddled up with blankets on top of us. Kiwi was sleeping peacefully on the other side of the couch. All of a sudden, Melanie's phone dinged meaning she had a notification. She pulled her phone out of her pocket to check what caused her phone to ding. Since she was resting her head on my chest, I got a  glimpse of her phone screen but not a good one. She got a message. She read the message and after a few seconds she stood up and bolted up the stairs. I heard her bedroom door slam. Kiwi immediatly got up from his sleep as he hears the door slam. I was very confused to what happened. I turned of the TV and went upstairs to check on her.

Melanie P.O.V

As me and Grayson were watching TV, I got a text message. I took my phone in my hands to check what it was. As I opened it, a peace of my heart broke.

And then the unknown number sent me a photo. Tears started to flood my eyes as I opened up the photo. There stood Grayson, kissing a random girl. I felt rage, anger and sadness fill inside of me. My vision started to get blurry so I got up from the coutch and ran to my room. I slammed the door shut and locked it. I then slid down the door and put my face in my hands. I started crying silently. Why would he do this to me? After a couple of minutes there was a knock on the door.
"What happened?" Grayson's voice was heard on the other side of the door.
"Go away." I managed to say through my sobs.
"Just open the door, babe." He said. The last word got to me. I unlocked the door and swung it open.
"Don't babe me! How could you do this to me and why?" I said clearly angry through my sobs. Grayson's eyes widened.
"W-what are you talking about?" Grayson said confused.
"This." I said and showed him the photo. He looked at the photo for a few seconds and then at me with a slight smile.
"Why are you smiling??" I said to him with a  confused look as I wipped my dry tears from my cheek.
"Babe, that is fake." He said and chuckled.
"What do you mean fake." I asked him once again cause I didn't have a clue of what he was talking about.
"See how the ground just somehow blends itself with my foot?" He said to me as he burst out laughing.
"Oh my. I'm sorry for reacting like this." I said to him as I pulled him into a hug.
"It happens." He said with a chuckle. He then lifted my chin up with his finger and gave me a kiss, I kissed back. Kiwi then started to bite my foot for attention. I giggled and took him into my arms.
"I'm going to go to the grocery store, you comin'?" I asked Grayson as I gave him a kiss on the cheek and went to go and get my backpack and wallet.
"Sorry, can't. Bryant wanted to do a photoshoot with me and Ethan." Grayson said and pouted.
"It's okay, have fun babe." I said and pulled him in for a kiss as I was done tyeing my shoes. He kissed back.
"You too, love ya." He said to me as I went through the front door. I then made my way to the car and hopped in. I  turned on the radio as I plugged in the aux cord to my phone. I put my playlist on shuffle and started the car. I then drove out into the road as I jammed to music.

*On the main road*

I was at a stoplight. It was red. In a few seconds it turned green so I started driving. All of a sudden, a car from the other lane came straight into the passenger side of the car. The force of the hit made my car tilt to the side and almost land upside-down. I hit my head hard on the window of my car. The car that came straight into mine just drove away. My vision started to get very blurry. I could feel blood dripping down the side of my head and my hands were bloody. The front window was all messed up and bits of glass were stuck in my palms. My eyes started to get heavy and my head ached. The sirens of the ambulence was the last thing I heard before everything went black.

Grayson P.O.V

Melanie has been gone for about an hour now. I hope she's okay. I'm worried sick. She isn't picking up any of my calls. What if something happened? Ethan was at our house, looking at me as I was pacing back and forth.
"Dude chill." He said to me.
"No, Ethan, I can't. I'm worried sick about her." I said harshly to him.
"Maybe her phone died?" He said and shrugged. I let out a long and deep sigh. I then got a call.
"Hello?" I picked up.
"Am I speaking to Grayson Dolan?" A female voice said through the other line.
"Uh, yeah." I said quite confused.
"I'm a doctor from the Red Cross Hospital (A/N idk if this is a real hospital I just made it up) and I wanted to inform you that your girlfriend got into a very bad car accident." She said and my heart dropped to my stomach.
"I'll be there soon." I said and with that I hung up.
"Dude we gotta go to the hospital, Melanie got into a car accident." I said panicking and grabbing my keys of the coffee table. Ethan just nodded and we rushed through the front door, taking Kiwi with us.

*At the hospital*

Still Grayson P.O.V

We rushed inside through the hospital doors. I ran to the receptionist.
"Melanie Rose." I said trying to catch my breath.
"And you are...?" The lady behind the counter said.
"Grayson Dolan, her boyfriend." The lady nodded and started typing on her computer.
"Room 305. Second floor. Be strong." She said and gave me a small smile. I smiled back and me and Eth rushed to her room.
"303, 304.. 305!" I said as we reached her room door. A female doctor came out of her room.
"You must be Grayson." She said with a smile to me.
"Yeah, what happened?" I asked her.
"Well, she got hit pretty bad, we don't exactly know what happened. I'm quite surprised that she survived the hit. Most people don't make it through. She is asleep for now but she should wake up in a few hours." She said to me. I smiled at the thought of her.
"May we go in?" Ethan asked her, holding Kiwi in his embrace. The doctor nodded and walked away. We came inside Melanie's room. She was asleep. Ethan sat on the couch with Kiwi while I took a seat beside her bed. She was a little bit pale and looked lifeless.

*A couple of hours later*

I placed my hand on her cold one. A tear slowly slipped down my cheek. Ethan was asleep on the couch with Kiwi, probably cause it was already 11 p.m. She slowly opened her eyes. As she opened her eyes, she quickly got her hand out of mine. I was confused and hurt at the same time.
"M-may I help you?" She said in her soft voice.
"You're awake!" I said and hugged her. She didn't hug me back.
"Who are you?" She told me as I pulled back.
"I'm Grayson, your  boyfriend." I said to her, slightly confused.
"I'm sorry, but I don't have a boyfriend. Where even am I?" She asked again.
"You got into a  car accident. A very bad car accident." I told her.
"Oh gosh, does my mom know?" She said and started panicking. I slowly nodded my head.
"Who is that boy over there?" She askes me as she pointed to Ethan.
"He's your friend and my twin brother." I said with a smile. She nodded. I went and picked up Kiwi from Ethan's lap. Ethan opened his eyes.
"She's awake." I said kind of upset to him. I took Kiwi to Melanie.
"He's such a cutie." Melanie said as she scratched the top of Kiwi's head.
"He's ours." I said to her. She looked up at me with confusion.
"We live together." I say to her again with less amount of hope each time. She looked at me with wide eyes.
"I'm really sorry, I'm guessing that you are a big part of my life, but I just don't remember you. I really wish I could." She said to me as a tear slipped down her cheek.
