¤Grayson's P.O.V¤

*The next morning*
×Tuesday×

I walk into the hospital building with 5 light red roses. I went up to the lady behind the counter and she gave me a small vase for the flowers. I gave her a weak smile and walked away. I made my way up to Melanie's room and entered it. She layed there, per usual. She was only able to tap and lightly lift up her fingers. I put some water in the vase and put the roses in the vase. I then grabbed a chair and sat beside Melanie's bed. I took Melanie's pale hand in mine and she gave it a light squeeze making my heart tense up a little bit but then relax.
"Hey, princess. You have 5 days. It's Tuesday, if you would want to know." I said with a sniffle at the end.
"I got you flowers. Light red roses, your favorite." I said and smiled to myself. The doctor then came into the room to do her daily check-ups. We greeted and he immediatly went to work. When he finished he tried to talk to me.
"So, Grayson." He started. I nodded for him to continue as I looked at Melanie.
"You know, she has 5 days." He said again as he looked at me.
"Yeah." I said and let out a long sigh.
"We can't really do anything about it, son, it would be a miracle if she would just wake up. But there is a 85% chance that she won't. I truly am sorry." The doctor said as he gave me a pat on the shoulder. A single tear dropped down on the hospital floor. I looked up at the doctor. He gave me a sympathetic look and a weak smile. He then waved me goodbye and left the room. My phone was on the edge of Melanie's bed. All of a sudden it dinged, meaning I had a notofication. It was a text message. It was from Lilly.

Lilly 🔥 : We can't make it today. We're gonna come back prolly saturday. Srry hun. Ly bye ❤

Me : I get it. Ly2 ❤

I exited the messaging app and looked at my lockscreen for a bit. It was a picture of Me giving Melanie a kiss on the cheek as she smiled widely while holding lil' smol Kiwi in her embrace. I then felt Melanie give a light squeeze to my hand and I locked my phone and put it back down om the bed.
"You know, princess, "I started and trailed off.
"I really am going to miss you." I finished my sentence and gave her a kiss on the back of her hand.
"I'm going to miss your smile, your laughter, your kisses, your hugs. I'm going to miss the way your hair flows with the wind when we go for walks at the park in the evenings. I'm going to miss everything about you in general." I said to her, meaning every single word I said. I didn't realise tears were coming down my eyes and cheeks when suddenly the tears fell on Melanie and I's hands. Our fingers were interlaced. I was taking in the moment, while I still can. Melanie gave my hand another light squeeze making me relax at her touch.
"You have 5 days." I whispered as I put her hand on my forehead.

¤Grayson's P.O.V¤

I woke up. Still in LA. I got up and went to go change. I changed into a pair of grey sweatpants and a black hoodie. Kiwi was running around the hotel room like crazy. I poured some dog food for him and he started to eat it, probably not even chewing it. I waited for Kiwi to finish up his food. Once he was done, I picked him up and went over to Tessa and Ethan's hotel room. Yes, they are also still in LA. I went in without knocking.
"Hey fam." I said as I walked in. I placed Kiwi on the floor and immediatly plopped down on the couch.
"How you doin', Gray?" Tessa asked me as she placed Kiwi on her lap.
"I guess, fine?" I said in more of a questioning tone. Ethan then came out of the bedroom and greeted me.
"Hey, bup. Are you gonna be going to the hospital today?" Ethan asked me as he sat beside me.
"Of course. Are you two coming?" I asked them as I sat up criss-cross on the couch.
"Yep." Tessa said and smiled.
"Guys.." I trailed off as they looked at me.
"She has 4 days." I said as I rubbed my hands on my face gently.
"We know, but we can't do anything about it." Tessa said as she pulled me into a hug. Kiwi was already off of her lap. I hugged her back and let out a sob.
"I can't do anything without her." I cried out silently.
"We're going through this together, Gray." Ethan said as he joined in the hug.
"I just can't." I said again.
"It will be tuff. You are going to get through this. We all will." Tessa said as we all released from the hug.
"Thanks guys, for everything." I said as I sniffled. They both gave me a reassuring smile.
"Let's go see our little princess." Tessa said and picked up Kiwi. Me and Eth nodded and we all made our way to the uber.

*At the hospital*

We walked in and gave smiles to the old lady behind the counter who was typing on her computer slowly, taking her time. We went up to Melanie's room and walked in. I went over to the flowers and took one out.
"You got her flowers?" Tessa asked as tears slowly filled her eyes.
"Yes, 5 to be exact. I'll take one out with each day she's with us." I explained to her as I sniffed the amazingly smelling flower, but seconds after, I threw it away.
"So thoughtfull." Ethan spoke as he sat on the couch.
"It is." Tessa said.
