Grayson P.O.V

"Hey, babe." The blondes voice squeled through my ears.
"Don't babe me.. What are you doing here?" I yell-whispered.
"Well, I came back, as you can see." She said to me and put her hand on my cheek. Kiwi kept barking at her and he bit her leg lightly.
"Get this rat off of me." She screamed as Kiwi ran away.
"Gray, care to explain?" Melanie said, picking up Kiwi in her arms. The blonde looked at me and then at Melanie.
"Hey, you may not know this, but Grayson is my boyfriend. I came to surprise him." She said to Melanie. Melanie's eyes started to water and she gave me a quick glance.
"Oh, that's how it is." Melanie said and stormed up the stairs to her room, Kiwi was still in her hands as she did so.
"Why did you have to come back into my life, Meredith?" I sighed and looked at her.
"You're not happy to see me?" She said and plastered a smirk on her face.
"HOW CAN I BE HAPPY TO SEE YOU WHEN YOU CHEATED ON MY BROTHER AND TRIED TO GET YOURSELF ALL OVER ME!" I yelled in her face. Her expression quickly dropped.
"Babe, don't b-" She started but I cut her off.
"Meredith, you've done enough damage to my life. Just leave me alone, for fuck sake." I said, calming down.
"Fine. But just so you know, this isn't over." She said and stormed past me to the front door, making sure to bump my shoulder but instead of me being pushed, she pushed herself and almost hit the wall. I laughed at her as she let out a long breath. As soon as she left, I locked the front door ad went up the stairs to check on Melanie. I could hear silent sobs from the other side of the door. I knocked a couple times, waiting for her response.

Melanie P.O.V

Babe? Who does she think he is? Calling my boyfriend hers and calling my sweet little Kiwi  a rat. Who does he think he is? He practically cheated on her by being with me. Well I can't exactly be sure if they were ever a thing. I rushed upstairs and into my bedroom. I locked the door and collapsed on the floor. I had tears pouring from my eyes down my cheeks like a waterfall. I didn't know what to do. I was so confused to why didn't Grayson do anything when she was almost all over him with her dirty hand on his cheek and shit. Kiwi kept silent and just sitting in front of me. Watching me slowly drown in my tears. After a few minutes, of me drowning, I heard a few soft knocks on the door.
"Melanie, please open up." He said through the door. I let out a long sigh and wiped all, well some, tears away. I then got up from the floor and unlocked the door. He opened it slightly but then fully.
"Baby-" He started.
"Don't." I said as I sat on the bed and put the little Corgi on my lap. I ran my fingers through Kiwi's soft fur. Grayson gave me a confused yet hurtfull look and then continued.
"As I was saying. She isn't my girlfriend. You and only you are." He said. I looked up at him with teary eyes.
"Then why didn't you do anything? Why didn't you take her hand off of your cheek? Why did you stay silent, when I clearly said to explain? Just. Why?" I said as a few tears dropped down my eyes. He sighed and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Can I explain now?" He asked me as he looked up at ne from the floor. I nodded for him to continue as I wiped some tears away.
"So, that girl, her name's Meredith. She was with Ethan for quite some time, but she cheated on him. Turns out, she was with Ethan so she could get to me. Ethan was devistated for days, but he's all good now." He said to me, taking my hand in his. (A/N yo, so I don't really know the full story about Ethan and Meredith, so just go with it.)
"Why do these things keep happening?" I said, deep in thought as I listened to every word Grayson was saying.
"What do you mean?" He said as he gave me a confused look.
"Like, the world doesn't want us together." I said to him. Finally making eye contact.
"Even if the world doesn't want us together. We can't go back in time. What's done is done, and I couldn't ask for more." Grayson said to me and planted a kiss on my cheek.
"You missed." I said to him. Trying to keep a serious face but failing as I let out a giggle.
"What?" He said and chuckled. I pointed a finger to my lips. He nodded and chuckled. He then gave me a sweet and long kiss.
"Better?" He said to me as we pulled away.
"Way better." I said and giggled.
"It's already 2 a.m. We should probably go to sleep." He said to me as he went over to his bedroom. I followed him.
"What are you doing?" I asked him as he opened his bedroom door.
"Uh, getting a pair of sweatpants? Duuh." He said to me as he went over to his closet.
"Oh, okay." I said and went to change in my pj's. It was Grayson's t-shirt and a pear of black short shorts. Grayson soon came back a couple of minutes later in sweatpants and no shirt. Oh my lord. Would you look at that. Grayson's chuckle interrupted my thoughts.
"What? Can't I look at my amazing roomate?" I asked with sarcasm filled in my voice.
"Welp, you're sleeping alone tonight." He said and went over to my bedroom door.
"I was kidding!" I yelled to him and he turned around.
"That's what I thought." He said and ran to my bed. He jumped on the bed, squishing me with the bed covers.
"Can't...breathe.." I managed to say.
"You know, I remember when you said that when I practically squished you on the couch." He said and started laughing. I joined in also cause his laugh is contagious.
"Yeah, fun times." I said to him as he got under the covers. He turned around, his back was facing me. I took this time to wrap my arms around his chest and my legs around his waist. I swear I was a koala at that moment. He chuckled.
"Goodnight, baby." He said to me and turned off the light on the nightstand.
"G'night, hun." I said and kissed his bare back. He turned around and wrapped his arms around my tiny body. He planted a kiss on the crown of my head. We soon both fell asleep in eachothers embrace.
