You turn to see a boy with red and yellow hair.
Y/N: Can I help you?
Boy: You look like you need some help.
Selena: Yeah. We haven't had any luck in finding any drinkable water.
Boy: Come with me.
He leads the two of you to what you guessed was a hideout.
Alan: Name's Alan by the way. This is the Resistance Headquarters.
Selena: So many people.
Alan: Yeah. Most of them are innocents who we saved from Duel Academy...
You look in dread at the people. Duel Academy will pay for this.
Y/N: We're duelists from the Standard Dimension. Our mission is to stop them.
You didn't tell him about being from Fusion because he probably wouldn't have reacted too greatly.
Alan: Standard Dimension? Oh yeah, Shay mentioned that a while back. Do you know him?
Y/N: Yeah.
Alan: Well until he and Yuto get back, we're the only defense.
After eating, Alan, you, a girl named Sayaka, and Selena go out to search for more scroungers. Unfortunately you run into a group of duelists from Duel Academy.
Sayaka: Oh no!
Duelist: Surrender, Resistance Scum!
Y/N: You want them, then you'll have to get past us!
You and Selena stand between them and you activate your duel disks.
Alan: Those duel disks. You're from Fusion!
Y/N: Yes... But we really are against Duel Academy. I'll prove it in this duel.
Duel disk: Activate Action Field: Cross Over
Duelist 1: My turn. I activate Polymerization I fuse my two Ancient Gear Hunting Hounds in my hand to Fusion Summon Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!
A double headed mechanical canine appears.
(Double Hunting Hound Level 5 Atk: 1400)
Duelist 1: I set two cards and end.
Selena: Draw! I activate Polymerization to fuse Lunalight Blue Cat with Lunalight Black Sheep. I Fusion Summon Lunalight Cat Dancer!
The Fusion monster appears.
(Cat Dancer Level 6 Atk: 2400)
Selena: Since I used Black Sheep to Fusion Summon, I can return Blue Cat to my hand. I normal summon it.
(Blue Cat Level 4 Atk: 1600)
Selena: I activate Cat Dancer's special ability! By tributing Blue Cat, she can attack your monsters twice each this battle phase but they won't be destroyed by the first attack. Go! Attack with Moon Light Dagger!
Duelist 1 LP: 4000---> 3000
Selena: Again!
Duelist 1 LP: 3000---> 2000
Selena: I set two cards and end my turn.
Duelist 1: At the end of your turn, I activate Ancient Gear Reborn! To revive Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!

Duelist 2: My turn. I activate Polymerization. I fuse the three Hunting Hounds in my hand. I Fusion Summon Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!
A three headed beast appears.

Duelist 2: I activate Greedy Control. By paying 500 Life Points, I can control one monster on the field. I choose my comrade's Ancient Gear Hunting Hound. I activate its ability! I can Fusion Summon without Polymerization! I fuse Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound with Ancient Gear Hunting Hound! I Fusion Summon! Ultimate Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!
The monsters fuse into a giant machine monster.

Y/N: I draw! You chose the wrong duelists to mess with. Maybe this will show you who I am! I activate Red-Eyes Fusion!
Duelist 1: Red-Eyes?!
Duelist 2: Impossible...
Y/N: I fuse Red-Eyes Black Dragon with Meteor Dragon Red-Eyes Impact. I Fusion Summon! Meteor Black Comet Dragon! Its ability will send Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon to my Graveyard and deal 1200 points of damage to you!
Duelist 1 LP: 2000---> 800
Duelist 2 LP: 3500---> 2300
Y/N: I activate Twin Twisters, discarding my Red-Eyes Metal Knight Gearfried to destroy Ancient Gear Reborn and your face down. Meteor Black Comet Dragon! Attack the duelist with no monsters!

Y/N: Good. Now this is over!

The duelists vanish, returning to Duel Academy.
Alan: Start talking! You're from Duel Academy but you're also fighting against them?
Y/N: Pretty much. I wanted to defect from them for a while. Selena was harder to convince but she eventually joined too. We're a part of a team of duelists picked to defeat Duel Academy and the Professor. We are the Lancers.
Alan still looks angry but Sayaka seems happy.
Sayaka: Alan, maybe they can help us stop Edo.
Y/N: Wait... He's here?! Of course he is...
Selena: You know him?
Y/N: Edo Phoenix... He's in charge of taking down the Resistance... He is also a very dangerous opponent. We can't let him know we're here.
Meanwhile at Duel Academy
Leo: Hm... So you're in Xyz my friend. With Selena no doubt. Hm... Contact Edo at once!
Scientist: Yes sir.
Yuri: Why send him? I could easily crush Y/N.
Leo: Exactly. I want him brought to me so I can punish him myself.
Yuri: As you command, Professor.
Yuri's Thoughts: Tch... How irritating. Y/N, you better not lose to Edo. I want to finish you off myself.
