Part 14: An Old Friend

You look at Asuka and nervously smile.

Y/N: Hey, Asuka.

She punches you in the gut and you collapse.

Asuka: WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!

Yuzu: Wait, he helped me escape from Yuri before.

Asuka: So?

Y/N: Let me... explain.

You tell Asuka about how you defected from Duel Academy and she seems suspicious of you.

Yuzu: How do you two know each other?

Y/N: She was in the class above mine. We trained regularly until Roger took me as his assistant.

Asuka: And that turned out well, didn't it?

She points out your artificial arm.

Y/N: I made mistakes. I realized that. I can't change what I did in the past. I can only make up for it in the present.

Asuka: You need to work to regain my trust.

She turns and leaves the room.

Yuzu: Why was she so angry?

Y/N: Because I didn't go with her when she left Duel Academy...

(Flashback)

You are sitting in your room when you hear something tap your window. You look out to see Asuka and a friend of hers.

Asuka: Y/N, we're leaving Duel Academy. Come with us.

Y/N: What? I can't...

You show her your nub where your arm used to be. It was now bandaged.

Y/N: Having a one armed duelist would only slow you down.

Asuka: But...

Y/N: Go. Someone's coming.

The two sneak off and a friend of yours comes in.

Friend: Hey, the Professor wants you to come see him tomorrow. He got you an artificial arm.

Y/N: Cool.

(End of Flashback)

Y/N: After she found out I lead the attack, she probably hated me ever since.

Yuzu: I see.

You get up and leave the building, Yuzu following you.

Yuzu: Where are you going?

Y/N: Finding Selena. She's somewhere here in Fusion. I'd guess Duel Academy.

Yuzu: But they'll card you on the spot if they find you.

Y/N: I know every nook and cranny of that island. Just stay here and if I don't make it back, tell Asuka I'm sorry.

You dash off into the night. Yuzu looks off where you ran and looks worried.

Yuzu: Be careful, Y/N. Bring Selena back safe.

Meanwhile

Yuri: So rumor is Y/N's coming to the Fusion Dimension to find his precious girlfriend. I may give him a surprise visit.

The purple haired boy laughs wickedly.

Yuri: Ready or not, Y/N, here I come!
