A/N: Just saying, when Heiji's serious, I'm not going to put ya instead of you, since it just sounds weird. REMINDER: I'LL POST EVERY SUNDAY, except for some of you it might be Saturday.

Anyways... HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE FOR  PEOPLE WHO ARE IN THE AHEAD TIMEZONE!

Heiji - in an unmannerly fashion - shoved passed people blocking in his way, while Shinichi politely asked them to excuse him. They were trying to find the two ladies who seemed to have gotten lost on the dock. The gates were starting to open for people to abroad the ship, and others began to gather around the cruise ship.

'Ugh, where the bloody hell are they?' Heiji muttered annoyingly under his breath, shoving his cap on for protection from the sun.

'Let's just keep searching, the ships are not going to sail off yet,' Agasa instructed.

'Guys', Shinichi spoke up, 'how are we supposed to ask Shiho about her amnesia and stuff like that?'

Heiji and Agasa's brows knitted together.

Both Shinichi and Heiji could only thought of one realistic approach to this question, but Shinichi hesitated to speak, instead he considered the approach, while Heiji just spoke up.

'I think we should go for a straight up question-answer approach' Heiji suggested

'Agreed,' Shinichi concurred, nodding his head. He immediately carried his attention away to the two figures walking towards them, he stared dreamily at the strawberry blonde beauty, completely ignoring the pink girl beside her. Shinichi Kudo, the detective of the east was rarely ever mesmerized by girls. It was never part of his nature, since he is drawn - too frequently - to other things, especially ones related to mysteries and cases.

'Hey Heiji!' Kazuha waves her hand in a bubbly manner.

'Kazuha, where have ya been?' Heiji strolled towards her, and whispered in her ear 'more importantly, why did Shiho run away?'

Kazuha stays silent for a moment as she furrowed her brow.

'I'm not sure' she replied simply

Heiji pressed his lips together and walked over to Shinichi.

Agasa was standing next to Shinichi and was staring thoughtfully at Shiho. This is what my "daughter" looks in her grown up form. He smiled, the professor decided not to question her whether or not she still remembers him, it'll only cause more unwanted pain.

Heiji tapped Shinichi on shoulder.

The detective recognized that as a signal, and he faced towards the girl.

'Haib- I mean, Miss Miyano, is it okay to ask you a few questions?'

Shiho hesitated, as she shifted body uncomfortably. Her eyes glanced around the people surrounding her and at last, glanced up a Shinichi.

'Go ahead'

Shinichi eyed Heiji and took a deep breath.

'If you're Miyano Shiho then,' he stopped, fearing that he would have a heart failure if he said the next three words, and shakily, he stated 'you have amnesia'.

She kept her poker face on her the entire time.

'And what makes you say that?'

Shinichi's eye brow rose creating wrinkles in his forehead. He proceeded to put his hands in to his pocket, as he glanced at Heiji.
