Forgotten Memories [Detective Conan Fanfic]

Ran Mouri

The vibrant rays of the Sun kisses Shiho warmly on her sleeping figure. Still holding tightly on Shinichi's arm, her eyes fluttered opened, as she felt an unbearable pain struck her back. Looking towards the window, streaks of sunlight penetrate it, causing unwanted blindings in her eyes. She blinked a few times until she realised her situation.

'Damn it!' I drifted off,' she cursed as she checked her watch.

She looked at Shinichi, 'sorry, I'll be back,'

The scientist picked up her stuff, I should probably clean myself up a bit and then come back.

She looked at her necklace, and I'll put you in a safe place, so that they won't suspect anything.

A black haired girl wearing a blue dress entered the hospital in a hustled manner. Her eyebrows were meeting each other at the top, while cold sweat was evident on her forehead. Anyone could tell that she was worried. She practically ran into the hospital, and as she did, a strawberry blonde haired girl walked out of the hospital. Both oblivious to each other, they carried on minding their own business.

Ran Mouri pushed the door opened and immediately rushed in, careless about the unpleasant noise she made at slamming the door.

'Shinichi, Shinichi, are you okay?' she hurriedly ran over to him, as she saw the unconscious figure lying of the bed.

Tears threatened to flow out of her eyes as she stared at Shinichi.

'You, were good a few days ago, and now look at you,' she stuttered.

'Why, why did you have to go on that stupid cruise!' she began to yell.

'Everything would be fine if you didn't go,' she sobbed helplessly, tears dripping onto her hand.

She sat their for half an hour, reminiscing about their childhood and the good times, until a certain strawberry blonde walked into the room.

She was holding a bouquet of flowers and she changed her clothes. Now she was wearing jeggings with a white sweater and a scarf to top it off.

'Um...' Shiho knew who she is. Ran. She wanted to stab herself on the spot for running into Ran. Nevertheless, she held out her hand, 'my name is Shiho Miyano,'

'My name is Ran Mouri,' she smiled as she held out her hand, 'are you Shinichi's partner,'

Both could feel that the tension rising, but neither dared to comment on it.

'Uh yeah, and you are...' Shiho's heart sank, 'his girlfriend?'

Ran's face turned pink as she immediately gestured her hand about like a crazy animal, 'no, no no you've got it all wrong, we're not dating,'

Shiho silently chuckled in her mind, well it's gonna be sooner or later.

The door opened and a girl with short hair, wearing a pink bandanna strutted in.
'Ran is Shinichi okay...' Sonoko asked loudly, stopping in confusing when she spotted the strawberry blonde hair girl.

Why do I feel like it's really tense here. She glanced around in an awkward manner.

'Sonoko, this is Shiho, she's Shinichi's partner,' Ran introduced.

'Hi my name's Sonoko,' she chuckled uneasily. 'Wait you look really like that girl Conan always talk to,'

'Oh yeah, she's my relative,' Shiho explained, hoping she won't find out

'Shinichi's not cheating on you right,' Sonoko whispered into Ran's ears.

Ran blushed once again, 'Sonoko, we're not even dating,'

'Oi, I've come to join the party,' a voice was heard at the door.

Standing there was a dark skinned detective and a bubbly looking girl.

'Shi, Ran, Sonoko!' Kazuha rushed over and pulled them into a tight embrace.

'Kazuha, I-I'm having trouble breathing,' Shiho stammered, as Kazuha finally let go.

'You guys came here to see Shinichi?' Ran questioned.

'Yeah,' Heiji turned to Shiho,'you've regained your memory haven't you,'

'How'd you know?'

'Hakase,'

'That old man,' Shiho sighed

'Shi, do you remember everything?' Kazuha chirped in.

'Yea'

'Oh yeah, we're sleeping at Kudo's today,' Heiji announced.

'Hell no, Kazuha yes, but you, no,' Shiho immediately declared.

'Too bad, it's Kudos house, and I'm staying there,' Heiji fired back.

Ran's eyebrow knitted together as soon as she heard that Shiho was staying at Shinichi's the whole time.

Shiho placed the flowers gently on the table beside Shinichi. Her expression softened, hope you get better Mr Holmes, you still have to go back to your girlfriend, she looked up at Ran before she walked out of the room.

A/N: This is my worst chapter so far, I HATE IT!
