아홉taehyung got dressed and was already in the kitchen making eggs while jimin bathed. he boiled a total of four eggs and cut them into half. he then took out two bowls from the shelf and put two eggs in each bowl.
"tae." jimin mumbled as he entered the kitchen with only his towel on. and once taehyung turned upon hearing his voice, he nearly choked. yes, they were just friends. yes, they had agreed upon no romance pact. but could a simple agreement stop all the feelings? no.
taehyung fell in love for the first time when the blonde had held his hand tight as they had watched the sun rise. that night, all they did was roam around different parts of seoul. only the two of them, aimlessly walking around and talking. it was the most memorable night of both of them. they played in the children park, rung random door bells and ran, climbed trees, and did whatever came their way. they had had their first kiss that night. when a tickle war had broke down and jimin was running away as taehyung was at his heels, after him. once he had caught him, they breathed for air, laughing, but it was soon taken away when jimin had kissed him. it was beautiful, their first kiss. also, it was taehyung's first. maybe that's why he fell so easily but jimin didn't.
taehyung knew that jimin liked him but he was also sure that jimin did not love him. every time taehyung told him that he loved him, jimin either changed the topic or he simply kissed him, saying that he was very important to him. so taehyung did everything for him that he could but things soon went downhill. taehyung was heart broken and even more when jimin decided to move from daegu. the thought of never being able to see jimin made him want to end himself but jimin made him promise to be friends. taehyung agreed because having no contact with jimin would killed hi―
"tae!" taehyung was startled when jimin was yelling his name at his face. he was so up close. he looked away as jimin's concerned eyes tried to find his. taehyung had told jimin that he had moved on. he hadn't but he was so much better now. taehyung had been actively dating people and he was pretty sure his love for the guy was fading a little by little as days went by. he was actually happy with the situation he was in. he did not regret anything.
"i'm sorry," taehyung paused before looking at jimin. "breakfast is ready. you love eggs, don't you?"
"i do." jimin looked at his friend for a couple of seconds before smiling widely. they have breakfast as they watched some random netflix show. once they were done taehyung was ready to head for work.
"i should get going now." taehyung looked at his wrist watch before standing up and keeping his empty bowl in the kitchen sink. "you'll wash it, no? you're lazing at home anyway."
jimin eyed him before laughing and nodding. taehyung was the company's assistant manager and he had much more work load. and salary.
jimin walked him to the door. "let me know which book they confirm to be translated. sometimes the email reaches me late and things get hectic." taehyung nodded as he opened the door and stepped outside, only to stop and stare at
a brown box at the door."were you supposed to get a post or something?" taehyung asked, staring at the big box. jimin slightly pushed him aside before mumbling not that i know of.
"it says.. um, jeon jungkook," taehyung read kneeling down and looking closely at it.
"that's my neighbor." jimin looked right, at the house beside his.
"oh, so he is jeon jungkook, huh?" taehyung teased and jimin's cheek turned into pink real soon.
