     "japan?" jungkook repeats, shocked. this is too soon for him to debut in japan.

     "yes, japan," the manager smiles, while still looking through the papers.

     "but isn't it too soon?" jungkook walks around the chair and sits on it, in front of the man. "it has been only three months since debut."

     "and yet they love you. we did surveys for you and three other groups. you got the most votes, kid." he turns his laptop, displaying the percentages of votes. jungkook scans the screen to see forty-six percent written in front of his name, the highest one. next to him is the boy group with twenty-one percent votes. it's a big difference for a solo act and a boy group. boy groups have always been more loved but looking at the results he cannot believe people chose him over five handsome boys with powerful and coordinated dance routines.

     "wow," he mumbles out, entranced. "it's.. unbelievable." he holds his head, stares at the numbers in from of him.

     "it's a great opportunity. and we aren't doing a lot do work. we're planning to release the japanese version of your debut song. it's already a bit hit. also," he pauses for a bit, smiles big. "you can have a little free time. you've worked very hard. i've seen you since day one and loved you ever since. i want you to enjoy a few days. so you have two weeks for yourself. no need to come here until then. and once you're back we'll prepare for japan."

     jungkook stares at him, flabbergasted. "t-thankyou," he smiles, looks down. he needs this break.

      "you deserve it, kid." manager smiles, looks at how shocked the boy looks. but somewhere within, he observes relief, something that he hasn't been able to see at younger's face. maybe it's the work stress, maybe it's family, he doesn't know but he knows that the boy needs rest.

     jungkook nods, stands up to leave but there's something he wants to ask. "is uhm.." he stops as the man looks up, look questioning. "is it okay if i travel out of country during this time?"

     "of course. it's your time, do whatever you want," he says, occasionally looking down at his laptop. "just be careful about the fans recognizing you. keep masks and caps on for your safety," he smiles a little, assuring.

     "i will." jungkook nods, smiles and leaves.

     he has his plans clear. he just hopes it works out.
