Mitch's POV

Opening the doors of the school was always overwhelming for me, all the kids, the teachers, the bullies. I walked to my first class, Geometry, with Ms. Gilbert. Not my strong subject but its okay. I set my homework on my desk and pulled out a new book. It took a while but students started flowing in the class live a giant wave. Pushing one another to their seats, I figured out before class kids would be in small groups and talk about random stuff but mostly drama. I quickly figured out what "name tag" each group had. The girls to my right were talking super loudly about some drama in school; they weren't necessarily popular per say from my understanding, but more like gossipers. Better stay away from them. In front of them were a group of guys blabbering about sports; jocks as they say. Then in front of me were "crazy people" they were so over dramatic with everything, to the point it got sickening. Pretty much everyone was a idiot, I'll stay away from all of them. Geometry was pretty uneventful, unless you count that one girl who was passing and notes and the teacher read it aloud, "I think Tim is hot, but Adam knows what he's doing". Next class, algebra. Mr. Wright was on the older side of the teachers here, but he was strict if you don't behave. It was another pretty boring class, we just got an assignment. I can't help it when my thoughts drift to Burke, he seems so familiar.. Last class he was really quiet too. I hope he's okay. Why am I worried?! He's fine. I'm fine, we're all fine. Okay, now I've calmed down, I can finish the last question for this assignment. "Class dismissed" Mr. Wright called out. I stood, gathered my things and brought him my finished assignment. I walked out and towards the science classroom. Ms. Kelly was pretty nice, so I wasn't completely dreading this class like the others. And, there is the fact that Burke's in this class.. Ugh, I really have to stop thinking about him. I walked down the aisle and sat where I sat last time, in the back. I pulled out my science book, I decided to carry it to start studying for a test. The teacher didn't announce we'de have a test in 2 weeks, but I knew already because I know almost everything. Also, I'm a nerd, so I have an excuse. Opening my book to page 93, I started to study. Ms. Kelly walked in exactly 1 minute and 23 seconds late. I'm joking, I don't know, but she was late for sure. "Sorry I'm running late students" Ms. Kelly said as she announced what we would be working on today. "Team up with someone near you and come to me to get your assignment paper". Ugh, not partners. I don't have any friends after Melissa and Hailey went to the other high school to study marine biology. And I prefer it that way. "Hey sunshine, wanna team up?"
