Ruby's POV

After Jamila sat down I felt a rush of relief, I don't know why I just did.

"Miss Wise could you please come up to the podium please?", asked Natasha, I turned around to everyone and they all gave me a faint smile, I walk up holding my hands together which were sweating like mad, I wish they had deodorant for hands! As I stood on the podium I looked at the boy who could've ended my life 5 years ago,

"okay Miss Wise, could you please tell the whole story from start to finish", I took a deep breath ams began,

"we were 14 when we started dating, we were in front of his friends a lot at the start so I had no idea that he was the evil bastard he was now",

"language please, only when needed please", commented Natasha,

"sorry, anyway, one day when his friends left he took my hand to a backstreet and slapped me hard and said, you'll do anything I say or you'll be dead and if you tell anyone about this, I'll kill you! I went home in tears that night but no one knew why. From then on he beated me with anything he could find",

"what sort of things?",

"knifes, a baseball bat, and throwing cups and plates at me", the whole court room went into a whisper but not Jamila, she looked at me with tears in her eyes,

"SILENCE!", ordered the judge,

"please continue Miss Wise",

"so he just used me from then on and the reason he beat me the day Jamila found us was because I didn't answer his texts or calls so he decided he wanted to kill me",

"is that all Miss Wise?",

"yes",

"please take a seat", I ran, literally ran out the door and outside, god that was hard! A few seconds later Jamila came running out with tears in her eyes,

Jamila's POV

I ran over to Ruby and she hugged me tight,

"its all over now, I promise", she continued to cry into my shoulder since I was slightly smaller than her,

"one thing though, why didn't you tell me everything after he got arrested?", I asked,

"I didn't want you to worry",

"well I do need to worry, he hit you with a baseball bat and threw plates and cups at you", tears brimmed in my eyes again and she frowned,

"I'm not angry, I just feel absolutely useless now", I say mumbling,

"you are not useless, you've helped me so much and I couldn't ask for anything more", we hugged again until Lou came out,

"you two okay?", we both nodded and he came over and hugged Ruby, I rubbed his back while he hugged her, he kissed her forehead and she blushed and so did he,

"does Jamila know?", he asks, I look at them confused and Ruby puts a smile on her face,

"this is between the 3 of us but, me and Lou are going out", I gasped and hugged them both,

"I can't believe it! THIS IS AWESOME", I scream, as I did I fell but was caught by someone, it was Niall,

"oh hey", I giggle, he chuckles and helps me to my feet,

"the judge wants us all back inside", Niall says quietly, he takes my hand and smiles at me,

"it'll all be okay", he reassured me, we all headed inside and sat down.listening to the judges babble on,

"Jacob Cookson, we have come to a conclusion that you will serve 25 years and 15 as a minimum for trying to murder Ruby Wise and Jamila Darmell, CASE DISMISSED!", the judge made that sweet sweet noise and it was all over,

"YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME, I DIDNT MEAN IT!", he screamed,

"YOU BASTARD, GO ROT IN HELL!", screamed my Dad,

"wanna get fined?!", I ask him,

"no", he said shutting up straight away,

"then shut up!", he laughed and hugged me tight,

"your mum would be kicking his ass while getting fined", I laughed ams laughed even harder imagining that thought,

"I have to go home and do some work so if you have anything tonight please be safe",

"I will",

"I love you princess",

"love you too Dad", we quickly hugged and he was gone, I looked back at everyone else and smiled,

"WHO'S READY TO PARTY?!", everyone screamed and we all ran out of the court house like little kids, this was one of the best days of my life!!
