Cursed Sword

I am practicing my kendo when a I see someone out of the corner of my eye. 'Could it be him? Did he find me?' I worry. No Child  I jump at the voice. Its deep so very deep and it seems like its coming from everywhere. I take a breath and focus on my technique. "Hey Devin We were going to go to some karaoke later. You want to come?" Kenichi asks. "Sure that's sounds cool. I've never been to a karaoke place before." I reply. 'In any case this would be a fun way to say goodbye before I go to another world. Sigh. I need more power'. If power is what you want then you should just ask me for it. The voice says.

'So it coming from inside my mind huh?' I think while stretching. 'What can you do that a goddess cant' I think and wait. The voice doesn't answer so I continue what I've been doing. Before I leave for karaoke Shigure stops me. "There is something you should know about that sword." she starts. I wait for her to go on "The sword has a legend about it. The legend states that the Japanese God, Izanagi-no-Mikoto, went rouge and killed his wife. As punishment his soul was forced into that sword. The only ones who could even touch the sword except those he chose." 'That explains the voice' I remark to myself but then I make a connection "What was Izanagi's wife name?" I ask.

"It was.... oh it was Izanami-no-Mikoto.... Why?" she asks. "Just curious" I reply and catch up to Kenichi. 'You can tell cant you Izanagi?' I think toward my sword. It still doesn't answer or I should say he doesn't answer. A few minutes later we reach a karaoke place and order a booth. We're all having a good time when a bunch of obnoxious buffy guys walk in. "Excuse me I don't mean to be rude but this booth has been taken" I say calmly. "Eh what you say scrawny?" one of them replies. I roll my eyes "I said this booth has already been taken so if would excuse us we would like to get back to having fun" I say in response. They look at each other then laugh "This little shrimp thinks he can tell us what to do and his only friends are another shrimp and a chic." they all begin to laugh again.

I stand up but before I can do anything Kenichi punches him. He takes a couple steps back from the force of the punch but comes back with a punch of his own throwing Kenichi across the room. "Hey don't hurt my friend" I say balling my fists. "What are you going to do?" one of his buddies replies. I get in position spin slightly first with my feet then moving up my ankles through my calves. Then my chest and finally I spin my arms slightly before slamming my open hand against the first guys chest. He laughs then flies backwards twenty feet. The wall partly caves in from the force. They run leaving their friend behind. I look at him for a while before sighing in frustration and grabbing him pulling him inside.

"Lets try to get back to having some fun" I say after a moment Kenichi and Miu nod. We are all having fun again when the guy wakes up. "Hey your up! Sorry for hurting you back there" I say rubbing the back of my neck. I hold out a drink for him he hesitates before taking it. "Arigato" he says. "It's nothing" I wave off his thanks "Hey you wanna try?" I ask nodding towards the karaoke machine. He shrugs and soon we are all laughing and singing. We stay there as long as we can but eventually the place closed and we all said our goodbyes. I asked them all to the dojo tomorrow afternoon for something important.

When I arrived at the dojo I went to Shigure's room and knocked on the door. She opens the door wearing nothing but a bathrobe. Blood spurts from my noes but I ignore it. "Hey I just wanted to ask if you could make sure everyone will be here tomorrow afternoon" I say and begin to leave. She pulls me back "Your going to leave aren't you?" she asks "Before you complete your training". I pull her into a hug "There is something I must do, Someone I must defeat, and people I must protect.... maybe one day you can join them.. if you want." I pull back "Don't tell them what's going on please" she nods and I leave.

I spend the night in meditation. I've only felt this much regret leaving a world when I left the DxD world. So you can travel to different dimensions... interesting  the voice says startling me. 'Yes though originally I didn't have the power. One day a Goddess gifted me with the ability plus one other' I think to Izanagi. Which Goddess?  the voice asks and I realize I don't have an answer. I don't know her name or what she is a Goddess of.... I know nothing about her. With suspicion and anxiety growing I force myself to sleep.

(Time skip to next afternoon)

Everyone is in front of me ready for my big announcement and to announce the reason I called them here at this time. I take a deep breath then let it out slowly. "I would like to start out by saying thank you for all that you have done. Maybe you guys don't think I'm finished with my training but I need to get back." I open a portal " I am not from around here in fact I'm from another dimension. I asked for your help because I need the training to protect the people I love from a evil guy" I looked at their shocked faces "I know this is a lot to take in.... I just wanted you to know that I'm leaving and why so you, so none of you, have to worry about me." I finish and turn to go.

"Wait!" Shigure exclaims and I stop turning back around. "We should go with you. It sounds like you need all the help you can get... and besides like you said your training isn't finished" she explains. I look at the rest of them and they nod announcing their intention to help me. I feel tears beginning to brim in my eyes. I blink my tears away "Alright but you must know that you will meet people who use magick and can manipulate their chi and chakra to help them fight in battles.... are you still up for it. "Will there be hot chicks?!" Kensei asks and I laugh. "Yes there will be plenty of them" I reply and he begins to rush to the portal.

They all rush to the portal and I am the last to go through laughing. We land in my kitchen and the first thing I see is Kensei getting kicked across the room by Koneko. I locate the Goddess and pull her aside. "I need some questions answered now" I say when we reach my room upstairs.
