The Sea of Dreams

Still pissed I walk through the world and into the nearest bar. I sit at the bar and order a drink. Next to me a guy was talking loudly and picking on a smaller guy next to him. The bartender gives me a drink and I take a sip. "Do the chicken dance" he says laughing. "Do the chicken dance Devin. Doit. Do it. Do it. Ha ha ha ha ha" the memory of my childhood came back to me. "Shut up and leave him alone" I say to the man next to me. "What did you say?" he asks slowly turning toward me. "I said shut up and leave him alone" I repeat myself.

"Do you know who your talking to boy? I have a million berry bounty on me!" he says. I'm in One Piece huh? This may be fun. "I don't care but if its a fight you want I gladly accept.... if your not to scared" I reply taking a another sip of my drink. I already know what power I want and I have it. He grabs me by my shirt and throws me across the room. I dust myself off "I guess a fight is what you want" I say and he rushes at me. I wait for him where I am where he gets a few feet away from him I pull back my fist and punch him. The moment before my fist hits his cheek our eyes connect and I smile. My fist and his face collide then he is sent flying. He flies across the room, through the wall, and across the street.

I walk to him and drag him back into the bar "Another round please... In fact another round for everyone!" everyone cheers. I walk around town slowly calming down. I look around for the people I'm looking for but don't find them until late afternoon. Their boarding their boat, I run trying to catch up to them before Luffy boards. "Wait!" I yell and he turns toward me. "Your Luffy right?" I ask. "I sure am!" he says smiling and laughing. "Can I join your crew?! Please?!" I ask. "Hmm" he says tilting his head "What can you do?" he asks and I seize this chance.

"I can do lots of things! I can cook, clean, use a sword, fight, basic medicine, sing and play the guitar, speak many languages, and I've eaten the Berry Berry devil fruit!" I say. "We already have a cook, a swordsman, a doctor, and a devil fruit user but you can join." he says. "Really?!" I ask excited. He nods "but you have to play a song before you can join" he replies smiling and rubbing a finger under his nose. I think quickly about what song to play then create a guitar behind me back. I hold the guitar and play the song(below)

When I finish their stare and then clap "That was amazing! Come on!" he says then stretches his arm to the Merry and boards it. I do the same and everyone's jaw drops. "How'd you do that?!" they practically yell. "Its thanks to the Berry Berry Fruit! It gives me the power of any other devil fruit as long as I see the power in action." Looking around I see their is one more person here that I didn't expect. Vivian is here which means they haven't made it to Alabaster yet. After a moment Luffy laughs and tells us to move forward to Alabaster. I stand at the edge of the boat and look at the sea. Its so beautiful and unlike the sea back in the real world this a sea of dreams.

(Undefined time later)

I look around at the scene around me. Citizens fighting officers everywhere the eye can see. Suddenly a light appears in the sky and I remember that's when Usopp and Vivian figure out where the canon is but I don't go there instead I go somewhere else. I run toward the secret stair case and inside I see Crocodile and Luffy fighting. The King and Robin are against the walls. I run toward the king and drag him out of the tomb. Once he is safely away from the danger of the collapsing hall I rush in again and lift Robin off the ground. "Just leave me to die" she says. "No. You don't get a choice what will happen to you I will save you and heal you." I reply. She tries to use her devil fruit powers to knock me unconscious but I resist then use her own power against her growing hands out of my body and grabbing her arms pulling them away.

"H-how?" she asks stunned. I lay her down and tear off some of my clothing and wrap it around her. "I ate the Berry Berry fruit" I reply and take a deep breath. I out my hands against her wound and begin to heal her. "Why? Why would you save me?" she asks. I wipe the sweat from off my forehead and reply "Because in you I see a light shrouded in darkness wanting nothing more than to be part of a family but cant because of the fear. The fear of something happening to said family. It knows this could happen because it has seen it before. Just like me." her eyes open wide.

"Or rather it was like me. It took me a long time and some good friends before I believed in the goodness of people and since then I have met many interesting people who do their best to hurt me... even if they do keep secrets" I say finally realizing the truth. I finish healing her and sit back. "Now don't move" I say then pick her up again. I run toward the Merry. When I reach her I put Robin a room and tell her to rest. I sit on a chair at a desk and begin to read.

I just finished a chapter when a portal opens and out of it comes Koneko. "Devin we need your help." she says in her emotionless voice. "Alright" I say petting her head, she smiles and I begin to make a note telling Luffy and the others that something important came up and that I'll be back shortly. I grab a hammer and nail the note to the door. I walk through portal and into my living room.
