"Are we there?" Ignis asked.
Gladio grinned, looking over the house in front of them. "Yep. I don't think anyone else would have a chocobo welcome mat. And I see Eclipse right over there."
Many months had passed since the light returned to the world. People everywhere were beginning to thrive once more. Outposts were being repaired and the Crown City was steadily being rebuilt from the ground up. Lorelai and Prompto now had their own home in the outskirts of Insomnia. It was a more rural area that allowed Eclipse to have her own pen. Lorelai's chocobo had two little ones to take care of now too, both a black chick and a yellow chick. It was certainly an ideal place to raise a few chocobos. And it was the first time Gladio and Ignis had come by the new home. They approached the front door, the tattooed man giving it a few knocks.
After a moment, it opened, revealing Lorelai's smiling face. "Gladio, Ignis, it's nice to see you guys!"
"It's been a while," Gladio said, accepting the welcoming hug the girl wrapped him in. As soon as she pulled back, his eyes landed on her swollen stomach. "Whoa, you sure are showing."
She then caught Ignis in a quick hug as well. Though he couldn't see her, he could easily feel her enlarged abdomen. "My, my, it surely won't be long now."
Lorelai giggled at them. "Yeah, the baby will be here soon. But let's not stand outside, come on in." They followed her inside where Gladio had to keep Ignis from bumping into anything since it was a place he'd never been. "Prompto! Gladio and Ignis are here!"
"Coming!" his voice called back.
Prompto suddenly came rushing down the stairs, his eyes landing on the two men. "Long time no see!" he greeted with a grin. "So, you finally decided to visit, huh?"
Gladio scratched the back of his neck. "Yeah, well, we've been busy. But after Iris mentioned you guys, we decided to swing by for a bit."
The group all sat down in the living room. Prompto, Lorelai, and Ignis all sat on the couch while Gladio got a chair all to himself. "Speaking of Iris," Lorelai began, "she, Talcott, and Cor visited a couple of weeks ago. Said they wanted to see how I was."
"Well, how has domestic life been treating you?" Ignis asked.
"Pretty good," the girl answered. "Though that's because I've got Prompto catering to my every need."
"It's been exhausting!" he complained. "But I'd do anything for Lora."
"I'm sorry, sweetheart," she apologized. "I know I've been a bit needy lately."
He shook his head and smiled. "Hey, no prob. I totally get it. The baby's depending on you, so it's only right that you can depend on me." He placed a hand over her stomach, feeling movement. "I think I felt another kick."
Lorelai smiled. "The baby's been energetic lately."
"Another sign that the delivery will come soon," Ignis said.
"So, figured out any names yet?" Gladio questioned.
The couple glanced at each other and Prompto replied, "We've thought of a few, but nothing definite."
"Hey, anyone else hungry?" Lorelai suddenly asked.
Prompto only sighed, expecting another errand for him to run. "What would you like?"
"Some of last night's chili would be great, thank you."
The blond got up from his seat and went to the kitchen, soon coming back with a hot bowl of chili. He handed it to her and sat back down. She immediately dug in.
