A Forbidden Love: A Finchel Story

Chapter 4 Part 3

Announcer- Now all the way from Lima, Ohio the New Directions!

The curtains opened and revealed Rachel standing behind it with a mic in front of her. She took a step forward. She was nervous. She looked out in the crowd and spotted Finn in his seat. He smiled at her and she smiled back. The piano began to play "Without You" by Usher. And Rachel began to sing the lyrics not to the entire crowd but to him.

Rachel- I can't win, I can't reign

I will never win this game

Finn could tell that although she was singing out to everyone, that she was singing to him. And it made him so happy, he knew that she loved him but now he wanted her to know that he loved her. He watched her sing and for that moment he felt like they were the only two people in the entire auditorium. He wished he could've just ran up to her and kissed her but he knew he couldn't. So he just watched her pour her heart and soul into the song. When she was done everyone stood up and cheered for her.

Rachel- thank you. Ladies and gentlemen, we're the New Directions!

With that the music for somebody to love began and Blaine and Rachel sang the lead vocals. Everyone got up and danced along with them singing. After they finished the entire crowd burst into cheers and applause, and the club knew it they knew that they had won. They all walked off stage and Finn joined them backstage.

Finn- you guys were AMAZING! And the crowd loved you! I don't know about you guys but I think we got this in the bag!

Kurt- well we couldn't have done it without you Finn you kept us together.

Santana- and as much as I hate to say it but Rachel you did too... You and Finn came up with the set list and it was great.

Rachel- thanks Santana

Santana- but I still don't like you Berry

Rachel just rolled her eyes. And she looked over at Finn who was staring at her smiling. They both looked away.

Finn- alright guys we gotta go on the stage and accept whatever award we get.

The three glee clubs walked out onto stage all waiting for the judges' decision.

Announcer- in third place... The Nightingales!

The team went up and accepted their award.

Announced- and in first place...........

The New Directions!

The club cheered for their victory. Everyone was hugging each other as Finn went up to accept the award. He walked over to Rachel and gave her a huge hug and Rachel hugged him back. Once they finally let go they all joined in a group hug sharing the moment on stage.
