Chapter 10

The rest winter break had gone by quickly and everyone was ready to go back to their normal routines. Rachel and Finn had been texting over the break but not the same way they use to. Rachel had gone to New York City with her dads to celebrate the new year while Finn stayed back in Lima and attended a friend's party. They hadn't spoken or seen each other in a while so Rachel was excited to see him. She walked into school earlier than usual. She walked to Finn's class and entered and saw him at his desk texting someone. She walked up behind him and covered his eyes.

Rachel- guess who?

Finn- hmm.. Could it be my amazingly sexy girlfriend?

Rachel uncovered his eyes and kissed him. She sat on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Rachel- morning

Finn- hi I've missed you

Rachel- I've missed you too! Sorry we couldn't hang out more.

Finn- it's ok how was your trip to New York?

Rachel- AMAZING! We went to couple broadway shows and we checked out some colleges too.

Finn- oh.. Really?

Rachel- yeah.. I applied to some like NYADA and NYU.

Finn- wow.. I'm happy for you

Rachel eyed him- well you don't seem too happy

Finn- no I am it's just that it sucks thinking that you're gonna be away..

Rachel- Finn it's ok I know we'll work something out.

Finn- yeah you're right

Rachel- so how was your friend's party?

Finn got a bit nervous- um it was ok not much new

Rachel- oh ok so are we having our meeting today?

Finn- yup

Rachel- ok can't wait to "talk" about the glee club

She smiled and kissed him.

Finn chuckled- I know but we do have to talk about glee club cuz we need to come up with a some possible songs for Nationals

Rachel- Fine.. I guess we can talk about some songs

Finn- ok

Rachel- so has.. Lara tried talking to you?

Finn- uhhh.. No... Why?

Rachel- just wondering..

Finn- ok... Umm listen I gotta get back to grading some papers and getting the lesson plan ready

Rachel- no.. Stay with me for a little longer..

She said holding onto him and putting her head in his neck.

Finn laughed- I know baby but it's almost 6:30 and everyone will be showing up soon and we don't want anyone to catch us right?

Rachel sighed- yeah I guess you're right. Just give me a kiss

Finn laughed and kissed her. Rachel kissed back with a lot of passion. She stuck her tongue in his mouth which please Finn. But Finn realized that they were getting too hot and pulled away. Rachel began kissing his neck.

Finn- Rachel.. Wait stop.. We can't.. We're gonna get caught..

Rachel pulled back.

Rachel- ok sorry.. I guess I got caught up..

She got off his lap and was visibly upset.

Rachel- I didn't mean to go that far.. Umm.. I'm just gonna go..

Finn- Rachel wait..

Rachel- no it's ok.. umm... I'll see you later in class bye Mr. Hudson.

She walked out of his class without even looking at him. He could tell she was upset and he wanted to go after her when his phone vibrated on his desk.

Lara- hey so it's your turn with the question!

He had completely forgot that he was texting Lara. He quickly answered back.

Finn- oh crap forgot about it for a second! I was with my girlfriend.

Lara- oh dayum she slept over?

Finn- no she came by really quick

Lara- oh ok so you wanna hang out after work?

Finn- can't. Have plans with my girlfriend

Lara- oh ok I'll talk to you later I gotta get to work

Finn- alright later

Finn put his phone back in his pockets. He had been texting with Lara ever since the New Years Eve party where they ran into each other. He felt bad that he had lied to Rachel but he knew that nothing was going on between them. It was completely innocent texts between him and his ex... but they were still something that Finn wouldn't show her. Finn knew that Rachel would get upset that he and Lara were talking, she might think that Lara was trying to get Finn back which wasn't true. So what she doesn't know won't hurt her right?
