Chapter 17 Part 2

Finn and Jesse walked back into the choir room and everyone's eyes were on Finn.

Finn- what?

Sam- what happened? Did she do something? Did she threaten you?

Finn- no she didn't do anything we just talked and I told her to leave me alone.

Rachel- well I'm glad.. I mean.. we're glad you're ok

Finn- me too... Ok so let's look at these sheet music

Santana- wait so that's it? You're not even gonna tell us what happened between you two?

Finn- there's not much to tell

Santana- well according to Berry she's a psycho

Finn looked at Rachel

Rachel- sorry.. I just told them that she's having trouble accepting that the two of you are over

Finn- yeah that's pretty much it, we dated in college and then she became an alcoholic and tried to basically control me. I broke things off after things got serious and I rather not talk about it so please don't ask me.

Kurt- and now she's back?

Finn- yeah she got help and found me to try to get back with me only now I'm over her and I'm dating someone else someone who I truly love

Quinn- who?

Finn- her name's Lea and she's the greatest person I've ever met. She makes me want to be a better person and I love her so much that I would never leave her to get back with Lara.

The entire glee club awed while Rachel blushed knowing he was talking about her.

Finn- but I don't wanna keep talking to you guys about how amazing she is so let's move on to these music sheets!

Everyone had left since glee practice was over and they still hadn't decided on a song. The only ones left in the room were Finn, Jesse and Rachel.

Rachel- Finn it's no use we can't find anything with these sheet music they're all old songs!

Finn- that's cuz they were Mr. Shue's he gave them to me and I hardly used them and I thought there'd be something good but I guess not. But at least we have some time to come up with a song.

Rachel- yeah and either way Mr. Shue usually came up with a song and the dance like a week before so we can handle it

Jesse- so what song are you singing?

Rachel- can't say

Finn- why?

Rachel smiled- it's a surprise

Finn half-smiled back- ok... So listen I um... I need to talk to you.

Rachel- ok what's up?

Finn- look we said we'd be honest with each other and I am sticking to that ok?

Rachel- ok...

Finn sighed- when I was talking to Lara she kissed me, but I pushed her off right away because I automatically thought of you and we just got back to normal and I'd NEVER do anything to jeopardize that. So I wanted to tell you and Jesse was there right after it happened and he can tell you himself if you don't believe me.

Rachel- no. It's ok. I believe you. I just... I can't believe she actually kissed you.

Finn- yeah me either, the point is that she's gone now and we don't have to worry about her

Rachel- Finn she knows where you work and where you live. Who knows what if she starts stalking you and finds out we're together? She could report it and we could get in trouble.

Finn- Baby you can't think that way.

Jesse- Finn she has a point I mean you said it yourself, she's nuts!

Rachel- exactly we don't know what she's capable of and I don't want you to get hurt.

Finn- I'm not gonna get hurt ok? Look if it makes you feel any better I'll go to the police and get a restraining order against her.

Rachel- ok

Finn- come here. *he grabbed her and hugged her* I'm going to be ok. We can't let this affect us ok? We just got to amazing terms and I don't want to let this or anything stand in the way of our happiness. *he let go of her and looked at her eyes* I love you and that's all that matters.

Rachel- I love you too Finn.

Finn leaned in and gently kissed Rachel on the lips and held her as she calmed down.

Jesse stood there admiring his friends love and relationship, he only hoped he'd find someone who would look at him the way Rachel looked at Finn.
