Chapter 8 Part 3

Rachel and Finn held each other for what seemed like an hour. Finn had stopped crying but continued hugging Rachel because he felt at peace with her. Rachel pulled away and cupped Finn's face.

Rachel- Are you ok?

Finn sniffled- yeah I'm okay now. Thanks for being supportive and understanding.

Rachel- Of course, I love you and I'm always gonna be here for you.

Finn smiled at her and held her hand.

Rachel- But what are you gonna do about Lara? I mean she knows where you live..

Finn- I don't want to talk to her, I'm just going to ignore her as long as I possibly can.

Rachel- ok... So now what?

Finn- let's go watch the movie, I need something to distract me.

Rachel nodded. They walked to the living room and watched movies. They held each other during the entire film. Rachel kept looking at Finn who seemed to have lightened up a bit since he was laughing at the movie but he still seemed a bit off. They watched a couple more movies afterwards to try to get the earlier events out of their minds. By the time the last movie ended it was 6:30 and they only had half and hour left until Rachel had to leave.

Rachel- I better go pack my things.

Finn- Nooooo... Don't leave

He said while grabbing her from behind.

Rachel giggled- Finn I have to go.

She turned around to face him and kissed him passionately. She looked into his eyes who were warm and kind again.

Rachel- I love you.

Finn- I love you more.

Rachel- come on help me pack

After Rachel had packed up, they went to Finn's front door to say goodbye. They kept kissing each other unable to say goodbye.

Rachel- ok I really have to go now Finn.

Finn groaned- fine... I had an amazing time with you *he said holding her hands* even though we were interrupted.

Rachel- It's ok.. Forget about it ok?

Finn- I will.. And I'm glad you liked your gift *he said motioning to her locket*

Rachel- I did and I'll always wear it.

Finn- and I'll always wear my watch and when I look at it I'll remember that my beautiful, talented, sexy girlfriend gave it to me.

He leaned in and kissed her again.

Rachel- ok I gotta go now. Bye.

Finn- Bye. Text me when you get home ok? And be safe. I love you!

Rachel- I love you too! And I will.

She walked out to her car which was parked in his driveway and left to her house.

Rachel walked into her house and greeted her dads. She walked straight to her room and texted Finn.

Rachel- missing you already<3

Finn- me too! It feels so empty without you here! Come back soon! xoxoxo

Rachel laughed as she read his text. She was so happy that Finn was ok. But she couldn't help but worry about what would happen if Lara came back to talk to Finn. What if she hurts him? What if she convinces him to get back with her? Rachel shook her head and pushed away the bad thoughts.

Rachel- No no, he loves me. He loves me and he would never hurt me. He's not like that. He's something completely different and special.

Rachel smiled at the thought of being with Finn again. She changed into her pajamas and texted Finn goodnight and went to sleep.
