"Mom, why'd you open my curtains it's too bright...." I mumbled into the pillow, sore but comfortable.

Comfortable - why was I comfortable?

I opened one of my eyes and looked around. My room, I think I'm in my room. How did I get in my room? I'm hungry....I need food.

I opened my eyes and stared into the warm sun that was hitting the end of my bed. The warm glow flowing through the windows as the sun rised from over the frozen, naked trees.

I placed my hand on my shoulder blade where I had noticed that the majority of the pain had disappeared but instead was replaced with a tenseness from having a knife in it. I groaned as I rubbed my hand over the sore spot and pulled the white covers off my warm body.

I looked up the my clock which had broken at some point, since it couldnt be 3pm. Could it?

The clock had frozen at this particular time and the batteries must've needed changed, but I couldn't have changed them...I wasn't here. Placing both legs onto my carpet, I embarced the soft feeling it left on my toes.

I made my way to my window where I stood as I felt the warm, winter sun hit my entire body.  A smile crept up my face as I embarced the little things in life. A warm bed, the light...even my frozen clock.

A familiar face walked through the door as I broke out of my haze,  the room was silent. A glass of milk that was most likely for me fell onto the carpet, as a warm pair of arms wrapped around me and began shaking. I couldn't control the tears that were running down my face.

"Mom," I sobbed into her arms as she brought me over to the bed, and made me sit as she stroked my hair as I lay in her arms. Her arms that I had missed being in, she was my mother and seeing her again had made me feel feelings I don't even think had been invented yet.

"Hey baby," she sobbed with me, running her hands through my hair. " I missed you..."

I sat upright, at least my arms were less...
t-rexy?

      "Mom I can explain everyth-"

"You don't need too." She cut me off, lifting my head upwards of of her lap so I could now face her, " I already know everything."

I just stared at her, and took in her scent to make sure I wasn't going completely crazy. She was human, 100% human.

"Mom...how long have you known," I sobbed into her arms. She smiled faintly at me, and I rocked back and forth in her arms like a child once again.

"They told me exactly who you were the day the northern-moon pack handed you over to me and told me to look after you." She sighed,"My boyfriend was driving your parents to somewhere safe when they were attacked, he was a werewolf. He was pronounced dead at the crash...as was what was left of your mother." She stopped, her grip on my hands getting tighter.
